Yeah so turns out my home network is even more shit than I thought.

I changed my pc from powerline to wireless and the speed dropped from ~50mbit down to 0-20mbit. Apparently that won't be an option then.

Another test I did was my phone (OP3T) laying directly next to my router, which resulted in roughly 200mbit, so a little better but not at all what it should be.

Next up my GFs laptop wirelessly again with theoretical speeds of 866mbit only reached 50-300mbit with huge fluctuations.

The only thing that would help is an actual cable from my router to my pc room, which is kinda complicated. Fuck this... :/

Just get a REALLY long ass ethernet cable and connect it from your router to you pc room.

You are right. I already figured out a plan where to put the cable. I'll need roughly 30m of cat6a flat cable and probably I big drill :D

    30m! wow that's alota cable

I live in a 3 story house. (my grandparents live below my parents just build a house above theirs). but it was pretty easy to wire. we just found the electric wiring of the house. opened the power plugs and run an extra cable thru them.

@Technomancer__ as this is not my house I really don't know how much I can do to it and where exactly the wires run behind the wall. Calling an electrician is probably hella expensive compared to just running a wire along the walls myself.
