Ok.... So I'm going to compile a list of things I've seen and put it here for people to look over and see if this works for them in keeping their pc cool in extreme temps. de-lid cpu and use better thermal compound/remove excess silicon seal water cool if possible/comfortable or get the best air cooler you can use the best thermal compound on the ihs that you can get/afford optimize case air flow by removing hdd cages front/side panel and install case fans for positive pressure move computer out of direct sunlight and to the coolest part of the room right underneath ac vent if possible do not enclose case in a cabinet circulate air in the room to prevent intake fan from sucking in the warmer exhaust air. under clock/under volt cpu and gpu if you're comfortable with it. If anyone wants to add or comment feel free.- 31 replies

I'll look into it. But rent is cheap and if he does have to change them out i would want my rent to go up to help cover his cost. Yes i know it may be illegal in some areas but i live in a month to month building and I only pay $350 for rent/utilites/and 250mbps internet. In short ill weigh my odds casue the next cheapest place in my area is $600 just for rent and thats out of my range rn.- 31 replies

My landlord thinks that a cpu cooler can bring temps below ambient of you blow air on it faster than 35cfm.... This is the same guy that thinks Pentium 4 is the best processor and all other processors are slower.

What board specifically? Edit: never mind you said the f.... The answer is yes it should. Your board supports m.2 Sara and pcie NVME. Although I can' say for raid configs.

I hear you. Im not even allowed to put in those expandable screens. if i owned the building Id have a conniption fit. But i rent so there is not much I can do. Also i just installed the H7 because it was cheaper and fit my case. Ran unigine valley for an hour ambient temps at 30C highest core was at 45C and was overclocked to 3.9GHZ. Kinda cheated by putting my pc closer to my ac vent lol.- 31 replies

The city still considers it an install. Not only have I ran a real etate agency but personally tried to get through this with the city. Cali may be ok with it but city ordnance say otherwise.- 31 replies

Thats what i was thinking too but they still consider it a window installed unit. see if they force me to change everything out they stand to make alot of money. its $1000 a permit and would require 3 to complete then charge $500 per inspection per inspector. One architect for the windows, fire marshal for the insulation and a plumber to insure no damage to the pipes, and an electrician for the wiring. So a minimum of $5000 assuming the inspection goes perfectly each time. Flipping bureaucrats.- 31 replies

Unfortunately city code prohibits those on the second floor of a building made before 1965. This ruling was made due to the window frames being unable to hold the weight. In order to get an ac in the window id have to change them all out due to the fact the city requires that a building must be brought up to code before a permit can be issued. This means that the whole building would have to have new windows and frames installed and new insulation in the walls plus rewiring. So not an option.- 31 replies

The H7 is going for $34.99 free ship no tax on Amazon I was but i went into Afterburner and raised it to run at 66% for 40C and above but temps stay cool so Im not worried. I removed both drive cages and removed the front panel door and removed the dust filter doors since the filters are clipped in anyway. Not pretty but better than nothing.- 31 replies

I agree. I'm pretty happy with my card. And since its a blower style it will stay cool as long as I have good case flow which seems to be the case(get it????? CASE )- 31 replies

I have hit 95c when I did some video editing. I purposefully used cpu encoding to stress it. I turned turbo off to use the nonturbo 3.5ghz rating of the cpu and only used 85% of the cpu to reach this temp. I'll download Unigine and run it then post back here. In Cali? If so I live in Stanislaus.- 31 replies
