  1. The video made it sound like applying windows update while it's sleeping is a good thing but I hate this feature. It tries to relaunch all the apps i had opened before sleeping but doesn't work on every app and sometimes it doesn't restore to the stage where I last left it at (left at a specific page but relaunched to the home page) and if you stuff unsaved then good luck. Applying updates while sleeping can be disabled through group policy and maybe that would help the battery draining issue too
  2. It surprises me a bit that VCD isn't a thing in north america
  3. For those who can't get a credit card for bad credit or other reasons and prefer to use cash, can't they just go to walmart and buy amazon gift cards with cash and pay with those? Seems a lot of work to place an order online first, then go pay at a western union counter, and wait few days for the delivery
  4. Hi all, couple days ago I was cleaning my computer and found few problems with my GPU. One of the circuit wire came off the board, as shown with the red arrow, and some chips on the back of the board seemingly came off (or they were never there), shown with green arrow. The second picture is a more close up shot but the focus wasn't great. The card still runs fine, apart from a high pitch coil whine which is common among R9 fury cards. Is my card still ok? Anyone else had a similar experience? Thanks
  5. steps should be more or less the same: 1. root your device 2. install twrp 3. clean wipe 4. install rom and gapps (at the same time) 5. install su (optional)
  6. A nicer PSU and a nvme ssd would be nice if you have the budget
  7. Looking back to your previous posts you seem to have the same issue back in august 2017 when you first built your computer, was it fixed since then and it happens again now because your original post says it started happening recently? If it was working fine between these periods what was the original problem? If not what other troubleshooting steps have you taken besides looking at the temp? reapply thermal paste? swap parts? try different ram slots?
  8. I think it was a joke referencing one of the replies from above. We all need to stop being politically correct all the time and just have some fun =)
  9. definitely not 7700k, either 8700k or 2700x, personally I would go for 2700x.
  10. If in the future I want to make a website to sell computer hardware, let's say not operating as a authorized reseller, is it legal to copy product specifications from the manufacturer's website? Are those copyrighted material or public info and are free to use? And to be clear I'm not talking about the product descriptions, just the specifications. Thanks everyone!
  11. biggest difference I see is audio: SupremeFX 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC S1220A vs Realtek® S1220A 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC
  12. Yes it will fit both, even though your gpu will block the pcie x1 slot, you can use the pcie x16 slot at the bottom for your wifi adapter.

  14. Before RMA I suggest running memtest with different combinations of ram sticks and slots to narrow down the problem if there's a pattern with your testings (eg. consistently fails when either ram is in a specific slot or fails with a specific ram regardless of slot or fails with a specific combo)
