Mobo recommendation for (new) AMD Ryzen 5 3600
GJERDE replied to Bender Blues's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Is this the same drive your OS is on? Or is it a seperate drive for programs and data? i did this last time i reinstalled windows. Most of my applications and games are on a seperate drive, and I did not wipe it. Most apps are working as they should, only a few thing broke, but it was an easy fix. Just beware to copy your document folder where your save games etc are located, wouldn't want to lose those! -
Maybe I should wait then, and upgrade when NVIDIA releases 3XXX series of GPUs.

Kingdom Come is the game I have been playing most lately, and I'm often dropping to low 30s when running into a city. Other than that its stable around 50-60fps. CPU is running at 4.2Ghz. Had it at 4,4 for a while but I got BSOD sometimes so I just lowered it. Don't really remember my CPU temps, but it shouldn't be throttling.

That's what i want to do. If I want to upgrade to DDR4 I need a new motherboard and CPU. Im asking if I should go AMD or Intel.

Hi! As Black Friday is approaching, I want to upgrade my computer. It's been a "few" years since I built this machine, and I'm not following recent hardware changes. From what i've read, Ryzen 3600/3700X is really good for the price, and i'm wondering if I should go for one of those, or Intel 9600k or 9700k. I don't stream, and have no intentions of doing so in the future. I currently have two 1080p 60hz monitors, but want to upgrade to 1440p or 4k in the future(does not have to be over 60hz). Games I play/want to play in the future: DCS: World Kingdom Come: Deliverance Arma 3 Star Citizen Microsoft flight simulator 2020 (I know we don't know the requirements for this yet) Assassin's Creed Other casual games As you can see, I mostly play chill games where you don't need blazing fast frame rates, but lately my computer have been struggling with even 60fps at some games. So I need help figuring out what's the best upgrade i can do now, I know I could upgrade my GPU, but it's not that old, and I probably need to upgrade CPU, RAM and motherboard soon anyway. You want your headset to work with a mixer? For that you would need a splitter as the hyperx headset uses a combined plug for the input and output.

Why are Macs seemingly always used for music creation?
GJERDE replied to Computernaut's topic in Audio
I use both MacOS and Windows every day. MacOS has much better midi support, one midi signal(example a keyboard connected via USB) can be used on more than one application at a time. In windows I have to download a virtual midi bus to get this function. And I think sound setup is also easier to manage on a mac. But to be honest, you don't really need a mac to make music, there are many good DAWs on Windows too, like Ableton and FL Studio. -
It does partly go away when applying V-Sync in some games. Lately I have been playing a lot of Kingdom Come, where the sound is just barely reduced with v sync. The store i bought my GPU from opened a RMA case for me, and i'm waiting for what they are going to say once they receive the card. Since my PSU is almost 7 years old, I'm thinking about switching it out anyway when upgrading to Ryzen soon. Any recommendations?

Only under load yes, I know about coil whine, but I thought that was more of a high pitch sound. My sounds more like something is vibrating like hell.

That looks like a fibre cable. Be careful and don't bend it too much. There should be a clip or something you have to push to loosen it.

Hi! Last year i bought a new GPU for my computer, and since upgrading I have had this strange annoying sound. At first it didn't bother me as i normally wear headphones, but it's starting to get really annoying now. I upgraded from a GTX 680 to a 1070TI. Anyone knows what this sound might be? It's only there when i'm gaming, once I alt tab out of a game it goes away. I have tried to stop all my fans one at a time, and can confirm it's not a fan making the sound. I tried switching back to my old 680 yesterday and the sound was gone. Video: https://youtu.be/reTcHHvbwoQ My specs: I7 3770K MSI g45 Corsair AX750 GTX 1070 TI

Hi! I currently have two old Acer G246HL monitors, and I'm not happy with them. I'm therefore looking for a new main monitor, and I don't really know which to choose. I'm looking for a good allround monitor, mostly used for youtube, DAW, other music stuff, and gaming. For my use I don't really need a "gaming" monitor with full g sync i believe. If I'm playing games, i mostly play Arma 3, DCS, Star Citizen, and some other games. I do not play any competitive games, just rarely CS:Go and PUBG. I would like to upgrade to 1440p, and i think my 1070TI would handle that okay. I have a few "must haves" and some "nice to have" requirements. My budget is around 500-600 USD . I have been looking at the Samsung CHG70, and the Philips 328P6AUBREB. MUST Be 27" or more 1440p or more VESA mountable IPS or VA Nice to have USB capability so I can connect my MacBook to the monitor over USB C and use the same mouse and keyboard as my desktop. I don't really know is this is a common feature, so it's not that important. High refresh rate Adaptive Sync Help would be really appreciated!

Just started playing, only have the F-15C for now, but thinking about buying the A-10. Still learning and its quite a steep learning curve, so Im probably going to wait with the A-10 until Im comfortable in the F-15. Would love to find someone to learn and fly with, if anyone is up just shoot me a PM!
