  1. Thanks. I made OBS high priority in task manager and streamed Vice City for a couple hours without a problem. I'll have to see how a more modern title stacks up.
  2. I'm new to live streaming and have decided to give OBS a try before forking over the cash for xsplit, and all the troubleshooting info I find is for older versions of OBS. However, I'm having trouble where it will freeze up every five minutes or so. Pretty much everything is at default, so, I'm running 1920x1080 local and down scaling to 1280x720 for the broadcast. The option for video adapter is grayed out so I'm going to assume it's defaulting to my GPU. My CPU doesn't seem to be getting bogged down, according to what OBS tells me, and when it works it works fine. FWIW speedtest tells me I'm at 61Mbs up and 58Mbs down. Local recording seems to work fine as well. I've only tried streaming Skyrim:SE and Prison Architect so far. Questions: What bitrate is ideal for 720 before it's excess? Also, I like to monitor the stream on my laptop, pretty much only to check audio, could this be stealing bandwidth causing OBS to lose contact with the server? I hate to say it, but I really don't know where to begin troubleshooting this. Thanks for the help!
  3. Finished, for now. Just used double faced tape to hold the plexi in. I can't decide if I want to throw a few cap screws on there to get a more mechanical, machinery type look. So I'm going to see how I feel later.
  4. Thanks. The plexi is on its way, just need to get to the store for it. Looks good man.
  5. I hope so. The case has tons of room for drives and none of the connections, plus the pci connection was six pin. They market these things to at least semi-enthusiasts but include none of the things to play with. I'm just happy I got it on sale.
  6. Thanks man. I cleaned it up nice, no burrs, but I'd like to see how you do it.
  7. No that was me. I'm hoping for a 1060 in the near future.
  8. Almost finished with this case door window. Basically, I cut it out with a hack saw then filed it to the final dimensions. All that's left is to get the plexi glass window in. Yeah it's a pre-built, that's why I'm dressing it up. But hey, PCMR is PCMR right?
  9. I just got my WAN show hoodie! (FWIW I wear large t-shirts and the XL hoodie fits just like a large shirt, the bottoms are the same length and not overly baggy around the body fits perfect!) Nice and light so I can wear it indoors without being too warm, going to be great for the cool months. Why don't these have orange laces for the hood?! Thanks LTT!
  10. Multi phase electricity? I know it's not really tech related but it's not wayyy out there.
