Update. I've managed to get the hdd to boot when I put it into my laptop, but it still doesn't work in the laptop its from. I may try disconnecting the screen to see if it will force hdmi.

Ok, so I have a very specific problem here. I'm working with an hp g6 laptop from a guy I work with. A while back he smashed the screen and has been using his tv as the display. Recently he messed up his registry to the point that I could not recover the os. So I reinstalled windows 8.1 on the harddrive using the hotswap in my desktop. I got the os installed and it works great, but once I slip the hard drive into the laptop I can't get it to display on my hdmi monitor, which leaves me with no clue if whether its working or not. I'm out of ideas and I know that he doesn't have the money to replace the laptops screen. Any Ideas on how I can get the hdmi output working, without being able to see anything on the laptop screen at all? Thanks

Boring, just another high price nividea product that really isn't bringing anything new to the table. Not to mention will probably rip of people for when 800 series comes out with better performance at cheaper costs. One card to game and render on, personally i would rather have a gaming machine, and a render machine. Its like spork vs a fork and a spoon. Sure you get the best of both worlds, but its not nearly as good at either task then a dedicated card. My two cents

You can see it in the lite coin difficulty, its been going up even faster with r9 290. At the end of the day the best amd could do would be a 1 per customer limit but that's never going to happen. Look at the bright side, amd's making a lot of money which means more r&d that can go into the next series. So maybe the sales will lead to a 780 ti competitor card. I'd like to see amd take back the performance crown, a spot that gives tremendous bragging rights and marketing material to the company that owns it. So at the end of the day, sales are sales, no matter what the cards are for. On the other hand I totally agree with you, I was going to pick one up to replace my 7970 just because it wasn't that expensive and I could of sold my card to a friend. At the end of the day, the flood of 290's into the mining pool will lead to higher difficulty and diminished roi. So these guys dropping thousands of dollars on gpu's better mine quick if they hope to make some money. My two cents at least.

Personally I really like the new msi lighting gtx 780. Any gtx 780 you get will be have a similar hash rate though.

I agree, if your going to keep that processor. If you were going to run a haswell system with that gpu, a low wattage psu would probably work. But if your just upgrading gpu, Then yes, more wattage would probs be a good thing. Also, make sure that your Core 2 quad isn't going to bottleneck that gpu, I can imagine games like crysis 3 that it probably will. So maybe look into waiting and doing a full system upgrade, but I understand if moneys an issue (which come on it almost always is for all of us) then get a new gpu and psu, then look at doing cpu/motherboard upgrade farther down the road. Edit: also if you dont have connectors, that would be an even bigger issue.

6 months into owning a pair of vengance 2000 the plastic by the earcups cracked and broke just from the usual wear. Emailed corsair support but have gotten nothing back. I love the audio quality but be careful they are not as strong as you'd expect from corsair.

Coloured liquid for sure. I just like the way the colors look, especially if you have a nice res to show off.

The first thing that caught my eye was that tubing run right from the 360 and what looks like right infront of your res. You should want to show off a res like that, i would hope that you'd try to keep the tubing runs away from it other than in and out.
