  1. When using USB installation media for Windows 11 it says my pc does not meet minimum specs to install. I have a r7 5800x, ASRock x570s PG, 16GB RAM, and RTX 3080. I tried enabling secure boot but after enabling that my PC wont even post. What else can i try to install Windows?
  2. What would be a good spray paint for a GPU backplate? Would I also need clear coat?
  3. So I have an ASUS TUF x570 WIFI and the PCH fan has been driving me crazy. It is directly behind the GPU so it's constantly intaking hot air from the GPU and running above 3000RPM. I have a 140mm case fan right below it blowing air up into it but that doesn't seem to be too helpful. Is there any solutions to this? I've already tried software like FanControl but that crashes my system when the PCH gets too hot and there is not BIOS settings for it. Would getting a B550 board be a big downgrade? I do have a gen 4 SSD and r7 5800x.
  4. So I bought a kit of 2x8 (16-19-19-39) 1.5v 4400mhz RAM and I cannot get it to run at rated speeds. When setting the XMP profile it says 4000mhz and sets it at 1.4v by default. When running it at the default 4000mhz or manually setting it to 4400mhz/1.5v it will not even post. The PC boots but turns on and off going into safe mode. The only way to get my pc to boot with the kit is not running it overclocked. I have a r7 5800x and a ASUS TUF X570 WIFI motherboard
  5. Is there a way to control the speed of a chipset fan on an x570 Asus TUF motherboard? I've looked in the BIOS, Armory Crate, and AI Suite 3 for fan speed options and there is nothing. I am also on the latest BIOS update. The PCH fan is easily the loudest in my system because it's a high pitched buzzing sound. I am able to control the speed with a program called Fan Control but after a few minutes it causes my PC to hard shutdown even after idling. Instead of the fan speed being at 3500RPM I set it to 1000RPM and it still makes my computer shutdown after a few minutes. Also when the fan is at 1000RPM or 3000RPM the temperature on the motherboard chipset doesn't change. It idles around 38 degrees which shouldn't even be that hot. I also have a case fan blowing right under there and don't even have my side panel on so airflow shouldn't be an issue.
  6. It was the chipset fan running at 3000RPM making the buzzing noise. Forgot I had one cause the GPU covers it. Whoops
  7. So recently I upgraded my cooler to a Lian Li Galahad 360mm. I was very happy with the cooling improvement on my 5800x but the pump was not quiet at all. This is kind of a deal breaker for me as I could not stand the whining it was emitting. The noise was louder than all the case fans combined and at a different pitch. So then I ordered the Liquid Freezer ii 360mm. The performance was fine but the pump was making a very similar pitch to the Galahad. I’ve also tried modifying pump speeds. While it made it quieter it could still be heard clearly. I am also sure the noise I'm hearing is the pump. So do all pumps make noise like this are is there some quieter pumps like the EK AIO? Or should I just go with a NH D15 air cooler if I want quiet?
  8. I am looking for a new case because my current Fractal Design Meshify C supports 360mm radiators but my graphics card is too long. What are some other good cases around $100 that obviously has more GPU room
  9. fractal design meshify Increasing radiator fan speed doesn't change temps. Only changing pump speed affects the temperature. Not sure on other factors. I have good airflow, thermal paste, and the cooler is properly mounted
  10. Right now I am currently running a Corsair H100i Pro AIO, 5800x, and a ASUS TUF X570. When under load my 5800x runs at 87 degrees and with the pump speed at max it brings it down to 81 degrees. Is there a better AIO I can get to run it cooler or does the 5800x just run hot to begin with?
  11. If I wanted a good 144hz 4k display would this be my best option? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X5MWMDG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_7AG7732WPBB4KEQ6RV0S?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
  12. Hello, I am having a problem where my X570 Aurous Elite motherboard will not go into the BIOS no matter how hard I try. When I boot my computer the post screen does not show up the whole time, it just stays black and goes straight to Windows. If I press delete while booting it just gets stuck at a black screen and doesn't boot into Windows if I attempt to boot into the BIOS. I also tried holding right shift and restarting my computer into the UEFI firmware settings but that resulted in the same black screen. I also tried updating my BIOS to the newest version and that did not work as well. My PC is 100% working I just cannot boot into the BIOS screen. But it is something I need to do as my RAM is running at default speeds
  13. So I turned on two audio tracks for shadowplay to separate my system audio and microphone audio. I love having my clips this way but its made previewing them with VLC or Windows Movies & TV very difficult. Is there any programs that will play two audio tracks at once?
  14. Also I don't understand what you said here
  15. So you'd recommend the 58x with a cheaper amp? one of the ones you listed? Because I am willing to buy an amp if its recommended
  16. Is it dumb to buy these for gaming? I don't really listen to a whole lot of music. If I was getting them mainly for gaming would I be fine with the onboard jack?
  17. I wanted to get a pair of Sennheiser HD6XX but I don't know if I need an external amp to make them sound good. If I need one what are some good options for under $100?
  18. I would say it objectively isn't very noticeable compared to the jump from 60hz to 144hz. There are people who say they cannot see a difference between 60hz and 144hz still even though it's really obvious. I would say refresh rate is more important in most cases but I was specifically looking for a resolution bump for this reason. There can be advantages to having a high resolutions in games I play like Arma 3, Rust, DayZ, and Overwatch when enemies are at long distances
  19. Thank you for answering my original question. I would say 1440 at 144hz would be best. It's difficult to tell the difference between 144 and 240hz.
  20. I disagree. Getting 144fps on games like Overwatch, CS:GO, and Fortnite at 4K isn’t too challenging for a high end system. Taking your thoughts into consideration though, I guess 1440p is the better option for what I’m looking for To an extent yes. But I’m sure most would consider a $500-$2000 monitor expensive in contrast to more lightly priced lower end monitors that more people have. Even if you don’t know my budget you can still recommend good entry level monitors that meet the specs I was looking for
  21. So right now I have a 180hz 1080p G-Sync monitor for fps games. I am becoming increasingly interested in moving to 4K in hopes of gaining more clarity on enemies that are small and far away. Are there any affordable 4K 144hz adaptive sync monitors on the market or any coming soon? Last I checked a while ago they were scarce and expensive. Thanks
  22. Hello I was going to buy a Seagate BarraCuda 8TB hard drive for my Plex server. I noticed though that any hard drive bigger than 2TB was 5400rpm instead of 7200rpm. Would this speed decrease cause any noticeable effect on streaming for a Plex server? Would it be fast enough?
  23. Hello, I recently set my Shadowplay to 2 audio tracks to separate my microphone audio from my game audio. When I open them in Windows Movie & TV it only plays one track. It works fine in my editing software but I want to be able to preview them. I tried VLC already and I couldn't get it to work
