I got In School Suspension for being late 3 minutes in 3 days throughout half a year, like wth. Theyre supposed to be training us for real life, allot of jobs dont give a fuck about 3 minutes is basically, thats 3 minutes less pay.

You'd be surprised how much some employers care about those three minutes actually. I had one that didn't, but the job I had before this and my current job take being on time VERY seriously, and my current employer has let people go for repeat "three minute" offenses.

But they would at least say something to you before they fire you right? @TVwazhere

At my previous job yes, but my current job legally doesnt have to because it's part of the employment process and agreement (my manager does a good job of making it clear)

However I've found that if I have a valid reason and call it ahead of time, it's usually okay (though I am responsible for making the time up at some point later in the week) For example if I call in saying I'm stuck in traffic and I'll be fifteen minutes late, I'll have to maybe stay 15 minutes later that day.

My company isnt unreasonable, so long as you're reasonable about being transparent and trying your best to always be before, or on time.

I feel for ya. I was glad to escape that BS when I entered college. Of course, some professors still dock points for lateness (even when you drop all A's in their classes).
