  1. Over the past week or two, there have been growing rumblings from owners of Samsung 840 and 840 EVO SSDs. A few reports scattered across internet forums gradually snowballed into lengthy threads as more and more people took a longer look at their own TLC-based Samsung SSD's performance. 2. I was thinking to get an iPhone 6 Plus but the test that you just made I'm not sure. Maybe if a I get a case. This test got me thinking !!! And on the follow up video same test with Note 3 and it survive!
  3. The xperia line has to be one of the best and for the z2 front facing speakers, better camera and finally we are getting better screen.
  4. So far one of the best phone. One of the features is the screen but I really like the user interface or the LG skin in top of android very customizable.
  5. A great mid-range smartphone and with that price tag is unbeatable until the next one. Great to see you smartphone reviews !
  6. Titanium SmartFast 16 Battery Charger, it looks very handy!! I think I will buy one of those. Thanks !
  7. Yes, we complain about the wifi performance overall but sometimes it helps a lot. And if you want to have the best experience I guess there is not another option that to buy enterprise grade product. I think I will take a look at this product and maybe I will buy it and replace my current access point customer grade product that from time to time I have to turn it off and turn it back on so I can use it.
  8. I love mini ITX cases, I have a CoolerMaster Elite 120 Advanced. I starting to thinking about changing my case and the Corsair Obsidian 250D could be an option. Any suggestions?
  9. Western Digital subsidiary HGST has unveiled an interesting new enterprise-class hard drive series. The new Ultrastar He hard drives and are the first to be hermetically sealed and filled with helium. The drives offer 6 TB of capacity and have been qualified by some of the biggest companies in the tech world including Netflix, HP, and a number of social media companies. The reason the drives are filled with helium is to reduce turbulence inside the hard drive associated with normal air. The helium used inside the drive is 1/7 of the density of normal room air allowing for lower power consumption and lower operating temperature inside the drive. HGST says that the 6 TB drive uses 5.3 watts of power at idle, weighs 640 g, and runs 4-5°C cooler than a standard 3.5-inch five platter 4 TB hard drive. The drive also uses the HGST 7Stac design to reach 6 TB making it the highest capacity hard drive with the best total cost of ownership for cloud storage and other enterprise uses. Source: HGST
  10. Phubbing: The act of snubbing someone in a social setting by looking at your phone instead of paying attention. The technological equivalent of snubbing, phubbing is a relatively new phenomenon that has come about due to the advent of social media platforms such as facebook , twitter , tumblr and instagram . The frequency of phubbing has increased exponentially in recent times, which is strongly correlated to the rise in ‘social’ media. The term itself highlights the paradoxical anti-social behaviour that is born from social media. Source: stopphubbing.com
  11. Apple’s next gen flagship smartphone, the iPhone 5S, has finally begun production and, as always, leaks are abounding left and right. Photos and specs have been rumored and they are suggesting that we might see one of the biggest ‘S’ upgrades ever, in the history of the iPhone. If the reported specs that are leaking out are correct, the hardware upgrade for the 5S is going to be huge! The coming 5S is currently reported to sport a 4-inch IGZO display with the same retina resolution as the iPhone 5, a faster A6 processor, SGX 554MP4 graphics, 2GB of RAM and an better LTE radio. New hardware has also been purported and includes upgraded 12-megapixel camera, a dual-LED flash, NFC and a fingerprint scanner. Prior to these reports, there was a lot of skepticism at the idea of the 5S actually having a fingerprint scanner, but now, according to reports coming from Reuters, it seems as though it will be a reality. While the new hardware upgrades are still unconfirmed, reports have suggested strongly that the internal overhaul that has been in process is an effort to make additional space for new, never before seen hardware. 12. Apple and Samsung are having very public fights in courts around the globe, but the two companies were working quite well together with Samsung supplying components for Apple's gadgets. Inevitably, the legal spats lead to talk that Apple will be moving on to TSMC for its next chip orders. Cupertino did indeed cut down the reliance on Samsung, the orders for 20nm Apple A8 chipsets was given to TSMC. This is next year's chipset as TSMC is still working on test 20nm chips, it remains to be seen just what Apple will use for this year's iDevices (presumably TSMC, but on a bigger process). However, it seems that it's not over between Samsung and Apple - The Korea Economic Daily is reporting that the South Korean giant will be making the next chipsets, the Apple A9, that will power the iPhone 7 (or is it 6S?) in 2015. Samsung's advanced 14nm process, which is ahead of what TSMC will have to offer in 2015, is named as the reason behind Apple's reconciliation with the Koreans.
