If you look at the properties of the ssd you will see the actual amount of bytes it has. My 120 GB ssd has 119.036.330.576 bytes where 110 GB is only usable.

Editing build for friend (NL)
DarknessFalls229 replied to DarknessFalls229's topic in New Builds and Planning
I think the Ryzen stock coolers are fiiine and even though I called it out to him about the power supply he still wants the 750 watt. -
Hey guys, I'm building a pc with my friend since he wants to make a editing rig, but we are not entirely sure which components we want. He wants to do mostly editing in 4k to upload to his Youtube channel, he also might want to do some gaming. We do not really have access to Pcpartpicker since we are situated in the Netherlands so we are using the Dutch version of tweakers to look for our components. We wanted a ryzen chip for the threads and along with fast ram since ryzen likes that, right? Also a high wattage psu for future upgradability. We're trying to keep the budget under €1200 and here's what we've come up with: A ryzen 7 cpu with stock cooler, B350 board, 16gb (2x8gb) 3200mhz DDR4 ram, GTX 1060 6gb, 750 watt 80+ gold psu, 250 gb M.2 SSD, 3TB HDD, all in a Cooler master masterbox lite 5. Not including Windows 10. Ryzen 7 1700 + Wraith cooler €293,95 MSI B350 PC Mate €83,90 Team Group Night Hawk TF1D416G3200HC16CDC01 €160,95 Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 WINDFORCE OC 6G €318,95 Corsair RM750i €125,50 Samsung 960 EVO 250GB €129,90 Toshiba DT01ACA300 3TB €77,95 Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 5 €49,95 For a total of €1241,05 I hope you guys have some opinions and some advice since the two of us never really made a pc in this way. I do have experience myself building pc's so dont worry about the assembly, i even have cooling pasta myself if it's necessary. Thank you for reading and commenting.

Computer turns on but nothing happens
DarknessFalls229 replied to 14likd1's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Have you tried using only one or no ram stick to see if something boots since your keyboard and mouse dont light up either -
Maybe you should search for a Q6600 if the motherboard supports overclocking, i got mine up to 3.42 GHz
-
More than the explosiveness of the note7? Other than the edge being.. edgy, it is fine to me. Maybe takes a little time getting used to.

I second this, ive been trying to find a good one for my s6 edge plus but in the end screwed up 3 of 'em

Is it okay to run a computer with just one case fan?
DarknessFalls229 replied to Fourple's topic in Cooling
Yes it is fine, my computer runs at light browsing at around 55C on the CPU, but if your computer runs under load at around 80+ C you might want to consider waiting to put that other fan in before you do heavy weight tasking on your pc. And if overheating still occurs you might need a better cooler, but your pc should be fine as long as it doesn't force shutdown because of overheating or slows down to thermal throttle (but thermal throttling should be fine too actually but it is slower). -
I know that kind of status. i'd suggest looking around second hands shops where you might come across a second hand computer. I had that once in my neighbourhood where i found a second hand pc for €20 which had a nice blue RGB 4 fan case, 700 watt power supply, p5n-t deluxe motherboard, Q6600 (I OC'd it to 3.42 GHz as you read before), and an 8800 GTX. Only thing missing was a hard drive. But one of my mates got lucky and got from his internship and entire pc for free which had an i7 920 processor (dang im jealous).

Everyone's milages may vary per CPU, per cooler, per motherboard. While overclocking i got my CPU (Q6600) stable at 3.4 GHz while the test chart i followed let it fail after 10 minutes. So i got lucky with my CPU and maybe you got a little unlucky with your CPU and cooler eventhough your temps are not bad at al (or the people you heard from kept their pcs on Sleep More to reduce heat). EDIT: or what @L.Lawliet said
