  1. You should have taken apart the card to see if you could identify what the failure was. I'd bet thermal paste degradation but who knows. Interesting to find out.
  2. Have you check the manual to see if there are any error leds or readouts on your mothboard
  3. Be careful you don't spend so much that you could have brought a 1080 ti instead. Also have you considered doing it yourself using an off the shelf aio from the likes of corsair or NZXT and a mounting bracket. I think NZXT even do a pre done kit for doing this and making it look nice. If you want to do it yourself, check out gamersnexus, they have a few guides on their site/ youtube channel for doing this.
  4. Good suggestion, probably shoud have mentioned i'm uk based for the amazon links.
  5. Hi All, I'm looking for a good kvm switch for my 2 computers. It needs to have VGA, USB 2.0 and display port/ HDMI. I've broswed amazon a little and can't seem to find anything that meets these requirements, am I asking to much? I have an ancient windows xp machine that i need for legacy hardware support, a modern gaming pc and not enough room for 2 keyboards, mice and monitors. I'd rather not have the xp machine on the network for security reasons (it's often needed quickly so any failure due to malware would be bad) so synergy is out of the question. I can't think of any other solution, any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks All p.s. upgrading the xp machine is not an option for driver reasons, believe me I've tried. p.s.s I'm uk based for amazon links etc.
  6. Keep an eye out for the sennheiser momentum wireless (these have garbage on headset controls so if that's something you use a lot, avoid) or the senheriser pxc 550 both of which are great options as well.
  7. Saving up now, gonna take a while though, maybe a good thing with vega coming up.
  8. Glad I guessed correctly, and I basically still have your old system, really need to upgrade
  9. On a pure price to raw performance basis then that's correct. But I don't think this is a price to performance build hence the relatively expensive case and motherboard. And you have to admit, it's all looks good together and would be quite silent.
  10. You'll be fine, and it's a really nice cooler is the 100i, I have it myself.
  11. Looks good, personally would not have done a 7600k with a liquid cooler, maybe save some money, or upgrade to a 1080 or a 7700k (with a little extra saving,) depending on games, but to each there own.
  12. Ok, I think the cpu must have died somehow in the past few days, maybe when it was posted, as I've cleaned out the socket with canned air and inspected the pins with a magnify glass and I can't see any that are obviously bent.
  13. Hi guys and girls, I have just bought an intel q9550 (cost me £10 from a friend) to replace an e5500 in my friends google docs machine. However when I inserted the new processor and booted the machine, and it powered on but no video signal. The old e5500 works fine, and the q9550 was tested a few days ago on my friends machine and was ago working fine. Upon inspection of the cpu socket I noticed some small anomalies (picture attached) to some of the pins, is it possible that these pins are damaged and the e5500 doesn't use them and the q9500 does. And if not, what else apart from broken cpu could be causing this issue. Here's the cpu compatablity list for this computer model, so I don't think it's that. http://global.shuttle.com/news/productsSupportList?productId=1382
