1 Million Subscribers - Thank you all! And a giveaway!

Congrats on the 1 million subs, guys! Fast As Possible was always a useful resource for explaining even the most basic parts of technology to people who were previously unfamiliar with them. I learnt a lot from them as I'm sure many others have as well - So I guess that's my favorite series.- 22,217 replies

I have returned! Anyone know of a good un-managed network switch? A few notes: - Has to have at least 24 ports. - Has to be gigabit capable. - Un-managed. - Should be available in New Zealand (Don't want to have to ship internationally) , preferably from either Computer Lounge or Playtech. - Budget is ~$250 NZD. What do ya recommend?

My Fat Man takes ~2 seconds to reload. How long does it take for the shout thing to recharge? Plus, I'm not sure how effective swords/bows would be against T15B armour.

I'm not sure that even the dragonborn could survive a direct hit by a mini nuke.

Hex. Yeah I thought so, but when I put into a hex to decimal online converter, it refused to take the x (from the "0x64" address). I tried just using the 64, which worked and showed the value of 100. I think the x might not be included in the hex code, maybe its just there to tell the computer/programmer/user/hacker its a memory address. I managed to work it out. I have the address for fallout 1's action points > ...that was until I accidentally deleted it. Damn. Gonna have to rescan memory again.

So i am trying to understand cheat engine, mainly the "addresses" where data is stored. All is fine hacking fallout 1, but when the addresses keep changing and my cheat table becomes useless, I try to learn how to use static pointers. I don't know how they work. from this: http://forum.cheatengine.org/viewtopic.php?t=334728&sid=c6e3e1f334971d8e96aaaabd4350fb56 I have worked out that windows gives them a space to work in, bla bla, but with the memory addresses, he/she kept saying: and I understand they are memory addresses, but how do did she/he get 0xA offset for LEVEL? and why is (from the first quote) 100 = (0x64). Where is HEALTH? Is it at the start of the program with a positive offset of +4? +0x4? TL;DR: How do memory addresses add up? It seems not to just be +1 per increase in address location, but another system... This is probably really basic...

I wouldn't really know actually, I have never used any of apples OS's. I prefer windows and linux, mainly windows because of software compatibility. -

*shit Windows 95 was fantastic! So was 2000 and XP. Vista was crap, 7 was good. My favourite OS would have to be Win ME. EDIT: I'm kidding, ME was nearly as buggy as all of Bethesdas games combined. -

Nah, lets all go back to windows 95 for 30 days. Much higher quality. -
Sounds like a guilty admission to me. Your punishment: http://rustledjimmies.com/ EDIT: Watch it all and you shall be forgiven. Same goes for any others who feel guilty for some tech related crime.

I had already brought the DVD re-release of fallout 1, 2 and tactics. So I am ok. But Bethesda should stop bitching about the series rights and get onto fixing all the bugs in the previous TES/FO3/FONV games... actually, screw it, just continue making fallout 4. PLEASE BETHESDA I WANT FALLOUT 4
