Tycerax's Achievements

  1. Thank you m9x3mos and mikedrewsmy; I guess I'll continue using my rig till I drop below 30fps. And when that time comes, I'll get a used 1080 (or 1080ti). (:
  2. Hello everyone. For the last couple of months, I've been conflicted about the aforementioned question. I am using my 4-5-year-old build and don't actually know if I "need" an upgrade. This is the PC I use (for mostly gaming). I listed all the parts, just in case. As you can see I'm still using DDR3 and a 4790K. I'm doing okay-ish; some games started running slow (like Final Fantasy XV runs at high 40's to 50s with Average settings) and with the RTX coming along, I was thinking for an upgrade. Something along these lines... This has a hefty price tag (for I am currently unemployed in abroad with a work visa) and I don't know if my gain is worth that price tag considering I don't do heavy workstation work or hardcore gaming. I wanted to hear your thoughts about it. Thanks.
  3. Do Technical Failures count as "a need to Rig Reboot"? I have a pretty good rig but it has faulty video cards. Whenever I try to "push the limits" on games or render a video using CUDA, it hard crashes and restarts...
  4. As a person in need of a desperate upgrade because of a "broken" GTX970, this video is just juicy. And torturous. Mostly juicy. (:
  5. I have GTX970 SLI and I want to see what AMD can do with their new Polaris tech with my own eyes. Also I want to create games using it. Better CPU/GPU always helps the rendering/baking process. (:
  6. I love the fact that it's lens is positioned in a close area. Also, it's from LG so image quality is expected to be nicer than most. It's price tag is a little bit high but that is expected. Still, a good addition to anyone who travels & plays a lot. ^^
