About Me

My day job is a computer shop. I do everything from repairs, builds, networks, servers, etc on a daily basis. I love to build over the top machines and I tend to be the go-to guy for computer questions all over.

I have a few guides setup on the forums on things like desks and malware.

Ikea Desk Guidehttp://linustechtips.com/main/topic/63380-the-easy-option-for-a-computer-desk/

This is just a simple info guide on desks from Ikea. They are straight to the point, cheap and easy to customize.

Malware Removal Guide - http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/90213-malware-removal-guide/

Malware is what 99.9% of machines with popups/etc run into. This is just some of the normal go to software to make it easier to remove. This pretty much will remove everything from fake software, extensions, popups, trojans, ransomware and the works.

Same OS, New Hardware http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/106642-how-to-keep-your-current-windows-install-with-a-new-motherboard/

This is a piece of software you put on a CD called Paragon. It basically wipes the drivers from the windows install so you can boot into your already installed Windows 7/vista/xp install. Most of the time when you upgrade cpu/mobo it will just blue screen and boot loop. This fixes that so you can just install the new drivers, and continue where you left off. A fresh install is always my preferred method.

All-In-One Driver Softwarehttp://linustechtips.com/main/topic/312963-all-in-one-driver-software/

Normally I would tell you to run away from software like this. This is a piece of software that I use daily. It contains the commonly used and often hard to find drivers all contained in compressed files. It works amazing, looks a little sketchy but I recommend it highly. I use it mainly for machines I need to get the Ethernet working on fast (and get to driver site) It has only failed finding a driver once for me so far. It creates a restore point that you can easily revert back to if things go crazy.
