Just changed my second monitor into portrait mode. I like the window snapping for windows 10 but it is clearly not optimized for landscape resolutions. Any App/settings that can better my experience?
I don't need to upgrade my memory size. I o intend on using professional software in the future but that is farther down the line. I meant more like upgrading to DDR4 from DDR3 1866mhz
I am currently running a 4x4gb 1866mhz set of corsair dominators in my system and I was wondering if they could be a potential bottle neck right now/in the future.
Other Hardware:
i7 4790K CPU
2x EVGA GTX970 SC
2x Asus 1440p monitors
Asus Z97 Sabertooth mobo
Just a little bit curious to see what you guys think. Going to be upgrading my storage away from hard drives pretty soon so I might upgrade some other things.
Build Log (Finished):
The Q701 sound stage is pretty big thats why I like them. I would assume that the k7xx's andd the k612's are very similar to the Q701. As long as the HE400i's have a bigger stage than my temporary M50x's I will be happy.
okay good to know. On terms of power settings, what do I need to do to my computer settings. Do I keep nvidia power management on adaptive or max performance? Do I set my windows power settings on high all the time ?
For some reason on my Laptop it seems like I cannot set my dedicated gpu to my laptop screen. In my Nvidia control panel I do not have a option to set my laptop display to my dedicated GPU Like I do on my desktop PC. I don't how how differently laptops work from desktops but I have completely uninstalled my gpu drivers and reinstalled then with a fresh install and nothing has changed. The weird part about all this is once I disabled my integrated graphics in device manager and tried to open my Nvidia control panel it said that a Nvidia device is not connected to my laptop. I just want to be able to set my laptop display to my gpu in my Nvidia control panel so I can remove my integrated graphics from the picture entirely just like I can on my desktop. My laptop is a Lenovo Thinkpad Ygoa 15 and my GPU is a GTX 840M. i7 5500U CPU
Really cool Ideas man. I love that custom rad mount the air will flow super well through that. I have the dame case but it is air cooled. It gives me literally the same performance as a low end water cooled rig because it has so much airflow. Build log here :
Thanks man! I will put them on my list of things to buy when I have money I don't have much experience in the audiophile field other that my Q701's and my ODAC. Looking to widen my options in the future.
Hello guys I am look for a new pair of headphones. I have used the AKG Q701's for over two years now and I love their reference sound signature and their open sound stage. I am looking for headphones with a sort of different and new sound because I am curious to see if I would like them or not. I would like headphones that have good sound quality but I do not care much for durability. I am most curious about a "warmer" sound signature compared to my very reference sounding Q701's. Any input is welcome!
Yes but I already found these two options

I am looking for custom PBT side printed keycaps for my keyboard. I love the way WASD does their custom keycaps but they aren't PBT! Is there a custom PBT keycap company that sells side printed caps ?

Description: My goal for this build was to elegantly design a computer in the Silverstone FT02. I made sure my cable and color management was pristine in order to create my dream pc!
Hey guys I am having trouble deciding on a new mouse. Right now I am using a Logitech G700 and I love it. But its a laser mouse and I would like a optical one for gaming. I tried the G502 and I find that it is too narrow for my hybrid palm/claw grip and that the side buttons are way too light and easy to trigger. Im thinking about trying the G303 but I am worried it will be too small because I have big hands. Anyone got any ideas for a G700 user looking for a optical upgrade ?
