  1. no, just no. stay away from them (M50X's) . what sound sig are you looking for?
  2. Krakens are tight and small. A good light clamping force headPHONES are the shp9500's from Phillips and paired with a vmoda boom pro would make a great headset.
  3. I have the 9500 they are great. Comfy, and I can wear them for hours and the detachable 3.5mm cable is a big plus.
  4. https://www.amazon.com/Arozzi-Gaming-Racing-Style-Swivel/dp/B00INS8H60 this a good one arozzi makes good chairs and $200 is minimum for a good chair.
  5. Philips SHP9500 or SHP8000 and Vmoda boom-pro or modmic 4.0 https://www.amazon.com/Philips-SHP9500-Precision-Over-ear-Headphones/dp/B00ENMK1DW https://www.amazon.com/Philips-Shp8000-10-Hi-Fi-Headphones/dp/B005GVATMC https://www.amazon.com/Antlion-Audio-ModMic-Attachable-Microphone/dp/B00T6XUL8S/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1472522987&sr=1-1&keywords=modmic+4.0 Edit: Blue snowball is a good mic for desk. https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Microphones-Snowball-Black-iCE/dp/B014PYGTUQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1472523094&sr=8-2&keywords=blue+snowball+microphones
  6. you allways suffer in quality in one or more aspects. go with a pair of headPHONES and a modmic or vmoda boom-pro. Read this to help. https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/531248-the-audio-boards-recommended-gear/ And if you really want a gaming headset HyperX clouds.
  7. Fractal design define S w/ window great if you're only plan to use a few drives and if you plan to do a AIO or custom water cooling loop, you have room.
  8. For speakers I'm not 100% on but for headphones, I Have a pair of Philips shp9500.
  9. This seems like a boot loop and you may want to try a single Ram stick.
  10. So i've been looking at the fiio e10k for its 3.5 line out in the back, but i'm not sure if it's the best option as my mother board only supports 1 line out I don't think i can have 2 outputs on the same line. not to mention having a physical nob for adjusting my headphones will be good. but i don't want the headphone amp to affect the speakers. I have no idea what i'm talking about but I did my best to explain what I'm going for.
  11. the hyperx cloud (any really) is a great headset, however going with an audiophile grade pair of headphones and a mod mic will have much better quality for both mic and audio. 7.1 is pretty much BS marketing companies do to bump the price. True 7.1 is achieved by multiple drivers for each ear, most (If not all) gaming headsets only have one driver per ear. Here's a link to the antlion mod mic 4.0 https://www.amazon.com/Antlion-Audio-ModMic-Attachable-Microphone/dp/B00T6XUL8S I hope this helps.
  12. If you're worried about ram clearance I Would go for the NH-D15.
  13. So my current setup is at the moment, lacking. my 2 year old corsair m95 broke on me (mouse wheel smashed in) and I'm now using what should be my dad's logitech anywhere mx. Something that small doesn't fit my long finger length and palm grip. my keyboard is a dell membrane keyboard. I don't have a mouse pad so there's that issue. my headset is a pair of 2 year old razer kraken 7.1 chroma's that seem to have a broken mic and glitchy audio at times.
  14. those seem like good options, but before I buy, what about the ATH-M20x paired with the ANTLION Modmic 4.0?
