anticoralian's Achievements

  1. The update is blocked if your anti-virus hasn't received an update to make it compatible with the changes, otherwise you may get BSoD's More info on that here: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/microsoft-releases-emergency-updates-to-fix-meltdown-and-spectre-cpu-flaws/
  2. Sorry, I misunderstood what you meant. In that case, ehh, I find the guy to be entertaining with his "stick it to the man" attitude!
  3. This will be of greatest impact to cloud providers and companies with virtualised systems, but can affect all other users. Mozilla has already demonstrated that it's possible to craft a Javascript file that can utilise Meltdown/Spectre to glean information about a system that should not be accessible from a userland process (eg the browser) More info on that particular piece here: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/mozilla-confirms-web-based-execution-vector-for-meltdown-and-spectre-attacks/
  4. Defo get the red sleeved modular cables for the PSU that Corsair does, I bought them for my system ,and they're so easy to work with! Have a look for yourself: http://i.imgur.com/0B7s3m3.jpg Ignore the extra cables at the bottom of the case, i plan on getting a 2nd GPU soon, so left in the cables for that and tucked it away at the bottom
  5. Steam: sparkanime Origin: anticoralian
  6. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 on the Sega MegaDrive
  7. Check out InputDirector or Synergy, they might be just what you're looking for!
  8. I'm using the Beta drivers without any problems at all...
  9. I should clarify that when I say Steam updates, that included each of my 460 Steam games as well as the client?
  10. Since you said you won't be gaming, it's a choice between convenience and build quality/style vs expandability/customisation really!
