Can not acces Vessel.com because no zipCode
Student replied to Student's topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
I entered the Zip code from Springfield: 62703, still the same issue. I even tried to add spaces every 4th number. Still: "Hmm... There was a problem processing your payment. Please try again." -

Hey guys, I finally got my Dream settup working on my current Rig: I am using Uraid6 and Running Linux on a Amd 5970 borrowed form a friend and windows on a 660ti. With this setup i am able to To do all the important stuff on Linux and only gaming on windows, the Point is that i use Steam inhome streaming to game, so i do not have to have two sets of periferals. The Motherboard and cpu are: Asrock z77 extreme4 and a i5-3470. My plans are to upgrade the cpu and motherboard size the i5-3470 is the bottlenec in this system and i plan on a GPU upgrade down the road. Since i need full support for virtualisation, atleast 8 Threads, 4 PCI-E slots (2 GPUs, a 4x Network card and a RaidCard) and it still has to be quite reasonable priced. I have two possible ideas for the cpu motherboard combination: option a) Intel Xeon E3-1245 v5 MSI C236A WORKSTATION option b) Intel Core i7-6700K Asus Z170-E option c) any suggestions from you?

Hey, i am currently building a drone my self with the objective of a selfcontrolled Drone that is able to follow in canyons. The task is quite hard, as you probibly should know. But it is lots of fun I am using multiple Atmega328p's because they are cheap and 16Mhz is just too slow for the amount of sensors i am using. Later in the prozess i will be using a Raspberry Pi 2 with the camera module to track objects for the follow aspect. For a drone it is best to have a microcontroller as the Main controller that is talking to the motors, but a quick search on google revealed, it is possible to use only a raspberry.

Hey, i am thinking about a replacement for my old Netgear 2-Bay DNS-320 NAS, with a low power and low cost Server. I am paying about 2.2€ per Watt per Year I want to run backintime and Samba Server on an Ubuntu Server. Also i want to link 2 Gigibit connections together to enhance network speed. my Basic configuration Idea is: http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/LLMsFT Motherboard: ASRock Q1900M Micro ATX Celeron Celeron J1900 Motherboard Memory: Corsair 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory Storage: 3x Toshiba 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM in Raid 5 Raid controller: HP Smart Array P400 RAID Controller 512 MB SAS PCI-E Case: Fractal Design Define Mini MicroATX Mini Tower Case Power Supply: be quiet! 300W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply Wired Network Adapter: HP NC360T Dual Port 10/100/1000 Mbit/s Netzwerkkarte PCI-E Total:€584.42 ~25W ~55€ per year What do you think? Would this server be bottlenecked by Gigibit lan? Would this server be bottlenecked by the CPU? And what kind of a system would you by? Thanks for your help!

How to make skype playback at default audio device all the time?
Student replied to xnoobftw's topic in Troubleshooting
try action -> option -> General -> Audiosettings -
i only have got experience with debian, but i'll searched for you: if you can not boot: add "nomodeset" as a boot flag and if that still does not result in a sucessfull boot: "quiet splash --" remove those line from the boot entry. you can edit them temporaly in grub, with pressing "e" and than i think f10 to boot. if you are able to boot use the Driver Manager. source: http://linuxmint.com/rel_rebecca_cinnamon.php EDIT: have you looked at this? http://www.binarytides.com/install-nvidia-drivers-linux-mint-16/

VMware player only supports parravirtualisation, and is therefor much slower. I am looking for hardware virtualisation. But i made some steps, i got a GTX 470 and flashed the bios to a Quadro 5000 and it should be supported now. I tried KVM but somehow i was getting Error code 12 or 10 depending on what way i choose to passthrough my 660ti. I did not test the "Quadro" because i like xen alot more.

I'd like to see "Running Windows on iMac to investigate R9 295XM performance and thermal throttling" and also, Parallels on a Hackintosh, with: Amd cpu, Intel non K and Intel K Amd Cards, Nvidia Cards, probably some older cards/drivers too. ("The Nvidia driver, starting with 337.88 identifies the hypervisor and disables the driver when KVM is found." form here) probably the same with parallels? And compare it vs Native performance. That would be a absolute pleasure!

Hey guys, i always hated windows, for its update policy, crashing and slowness, but i depend on it because i like gaming like most of you. With linus mac review i came a cross Mac and Parallels, tested it and was not able to get any game running,... probably because of the leak of VT-d (virtual directed io) Then i googled: "linux virtualisierung" and came across, that Xen is backed by: IBM, Microsoft, Intel, AMD, HP, Novell and SUN and they want it to be the industrial standard. http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Virtualisierung (German) It promises almost native performance and full 3d support. So i googled allot more and found out to have Hardware visualization, i need IOMMU for me VT-d i have more knowledge about intel than AMD. VT-d is supported by most processors except the -K ones, i have a i7-3770k. So i asked a friend that always has spare pc parts, and bought a i5-3540. It took a few days, to get it to me so i stared setting up a few things. I installed latest debian, and followed this guide. And it worked perfectly and was quite exited to get started with PCI Passthrough. I read here that my chances are not the best to get my nvidia 660ti working, but i gave it a try. The i5-3540 arrived and i stared, and ... i had the wrong Kernel, so PCI passthrough did not work, but i found another guide. I followed that guide, except i used a newer Linux kernel and a Xen 4.2 Stable, compiling worked fine and PCI passthrough worked. Windows detected the 660ti and i was able to install nivida drivers, but i got the code 43, an error accoured, card shutdown... Again i investigated, and here is what i came up with: 1. i could hac my 660ti and make it into a Quadro, but that could break it and i realy didn't want to do that. 2. i found will i was investigating towards KVM "The Nvidia driver, starting with 337.88 identifies the hypervisor and disables the driver when KVM is found." here 3. Nvidia Grid runs on: Citix XenServer here (they probably don't want consumer hardware in the Xen environment) So conclusion: I will try to get hands on a AMD Card and try that, that should work as far as i know. I will also try KVM and see what if i can get it working. And probably take a look at paralles again, but it is expensive and i'd like to have a free solution. Right now i will not work on that project because i have exams in one week and have to study about quantum physics, theoretical physics, and software engineering. I will continue in about 3 Weeks from now. A 3d printer Project will be started at that time too, i don't get bored at vac. Any tips, questions and comments are welcome! ------------------------------------------------------------------ Update 15.02.2015 I am now using a GTX 470 soft moded to a Quadro 5000, and now i have one PC, two Operatingsystems, two mice and keybards, i can game on Windows, and use linux for all importent stuff!

You could change the dns in the router to redirect the pages to a "PagedBlocked" site
