    Can't say, it will be here Friday. I've read around 7 hours of web browsing on 1080p and 5-6 on the 4K screen which I got, and about 2 hours of 4K gaming. I also ended up trading for a Titan x yesterday instead of the 980ti

    I know people hate on alienware, but I had basically the same objective as you. I ended up getting a refurbuished alienware from ebay for $1300, their alienware graphics amplifier for $170 from amazon and will be getting a 980 ti for it for $390

    Yep they just need a thunderbolt 3 port. The only cpu I would pair with it is the 6700hq, the i7 6500u is only dual core. I recommend http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834234041 for price, but it is also a fingerprint magnet If you're willing to spend a bit more you can get a dell xps 15.

    Linus has a good video showing the performance of 16x 8x and 4x. there was barely any difference iirc
