  1. I would say go for the Corsair RM850, I know that all the fully modular cables are all black cables are flat except the 24pin i think You have the ability to monitor the PSU if you connect it up to a corsair link hub I own an Corsair ax860 and im very it, I know its a different model but i would always go with Corsair for a Psu.
  2. I would like to build a 2011 Matx build. being my first Matx and 2011 build I'm looking forward for the challenge.
  3. ok then. I will try using another header. I do have some 4 pin fans i could try to. Thanks.
  4. This is what im using. http://www.scan.co.uk/products/45cm-akasa-flexa-fp5-pwm-5-fan-splitter-black-braided-cable-powered-via-4-pin-molex
  5. thanks for fast response I am using 3 pin fans only. But this cable set does take 4 pin fans. There is one reporter header which is plunged in to the cpu header. the consits of all the green and blue leads from all fans. Does need the molex to power the fans.
  6. I hope so. I cant see why Corsair would not make them, as most of us would put them on our AIO hydro series coolers. I for one would use them on my radiators in my W/C set up.
  7. I am currently trying to set this up to control four 3 pin Corsair sp120's. Currently the fans run at full speed. But do NOT report back their speed via the pwm connector on the cpu header. I am using a Asus Maximus Hero and the cpu header profile along with all other headers are set to standard mode. I am right i should be able to see the speed and also control it from the profiles in the BIOS? I have tested all the headers and they work fine I am using 4 of the same 3 pin Corsair SP120's Just need some help please.
  8. Perhaps you could post a video to youtube for us. Or some pics of your loop. I would say that its air trapped in the loop and its the bubbles getting stuck in the pump which is making the sound come from the pump. I have personally had this before using a mcp 655 pump. Also a trickling happened to me when coolant was entering the res was above the waterline. Bit like a waterfall.
  9. Can i mix it up a bit. Get a twin pack of Corsair sp120's £26.99 on Overclockers.co.uk Why? They look great in all black with customisable colour rings available in red, white and blue. You can also get them in to different series. The low noise version and quite series. One has a 3 pin connector and the other has a 4 pin connector. I have 6 Corsair sp120's with the red ring on them and im very happy with them.
  10. Linus, Please dont stop doing unboxings. Thats the whole reason I started to watch LinusTechTips and also NCIX. Now I watch all the LMG guys doing all this fantastic work on LTT and Techquickie. I side with what a lot of people have said on here is that the casual non scripted unboxings is what we all love. But we also love the now more professional stuff that your doing. If you was going to stop the unboxings. What would take their place? Keep up that great work guys!!!!!!!!!!
  11. I have the Ocz agility 3 in the 120gb variety. I got it new and cheap about £65. I find it fast and have not had any problems with it. I'm the person saying that mine works.
  12. I have used Scan many times and I will continue to. I also do use ocuk and specialtech. Had no problems with any of these company's.
  13. I do like the look of the Corsair 540. Because it look good with that big smoked window, only 2 optical bays which is good as I would say that there are many people that don't even use 1 bay so when other big cases have 3 or 4 it just looks untidy. Cable routing holes and of course plenty of room behind the M/B. If you was just going to install an all in one cooler like the corsair hydro series why not get a smaller case? I am looking at the case and thinking about the possibilitys for a full custom loop with 1 360mm rad and 1 240mm rad at least. would you look at water cooling both your 7950s and cpu?
  14. I would go for a 760 psu from Corsair. For a CPU I would go for the i5 4670k as its perfect for gaming and cheaper than buying the i7 variant. Down to budget if you need HT of the i7. I agree with your ssd upgrade, as I am looking at getting a Samsung 250GB 840 pro or possibly the 840 evo 500GB.
