  1. Since I saw the video on youtube, I've been going back and forth whether or not to do this cache-machine. I'm leaning towards it though The parts that I understand are: 1. If storage is large enough, you can save all your games on server, rather than to re-download them again from the internet. 2. You can have multiple cache set to different clients on cache server (windows, steam, etc). 3. The IP's set to specific cache are only on the cache server, not on the windows machine, so your windows machine(s) just downloads locally (no need to set ip on windows machine to download on specific cache IP). Where my understanding is lacking is, how does it work with game/windows updates? When I start my PC up and subsequently start a game, sometimes it starts downloading an update (client or game update). Will this update be pre-downloaded on the cache server then? And with Windows, the updates will be pre-downloaded on the server, so I have to, periodically, update my windows manually? Writing all of this makes me feel like I already know the answers.
  2. Hey LTT I installed the cheapest 240 mm AIO watercooler I could find. And I got it to work, mostly. Due to the ports of the PS4, I had to place the radiator on the left side, which is now the front side on my home made enclosure. I've put heatsinks on the RAMs. Ive put the radiator and fans as intake. And the rear of the box is uncovered ATM. But my power supply gets really hot. How do you keep the power supply cool, now that you don't have any fans to cool it down?
  3. I currently have a EGPU setup with a R9 290. Would be nice to have a newest line of GPU on my setup. ☺
  4. It is possible to do a egpu setup if your laptop has either an m.2, mpcie or express card slot. If it is a large laptop, then it probably have an express card slot. But since it most surely have wireless internet connection, it does have one of the other two options. Do have in mind, that you will lose the portability of your laptop since you have to plug the egpu on the motherboard. That means removing the bottom plate.
  5. Thanks for the answers. Sounds like it's going to be a challenge with this particular case. Well not a lot of things comes easy. Any experiences or knowledge in the loop order I mentioned in the original post?
  6. Hey everyone. I'm planning on to get the Corsair carbide air 240 and do a skylake build. Im still on the brainstorming phase and I got a couple of questions. I know that if you want to cool dual gpus in parallel they need to be the exact same block. What will happen if/would it be possible to - I connected a loop from dual gpu to the cpu and back again? The carbide air 240 is probably not the ideal case to do a custom water loop, but I really like the case. I'm having trouble finding any pictures of the case with dual gpu and custom loop. Though I did find one where one of the two 240mm rads didn't had any fans. How much does a fanless rad cool?
  7. Hey everyone I'm a greenlandic in student based in Denmark. I've been mostly a console gamer all my life. I play games that my laptop can pull but recently I found out that it is possible to install an external GPU. So I started buying parts. I got it up and running... ish. It is working but not as stable as I want it to be. But now I got a monitor, a psu and a gpu, so why not buy the rest, so I can build a gamer pc. I watched a lot of the LTT videos on YouTube and now I'm here. If anyone in here have any experience with eGPU or anyone have any questions about it, the please look me up. :-)
