  1. I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm attempting to sell my space, and my reason is that I simply can't afford the damn thing anymore! I could go on with endless praise of everything that Eve is doing, and even though they're selling a premium product at a very reasonable price, I'm a student whose main workstation PC has just died. With unexpected costs, something's gotta give... I'm currently in a position where nobody knows that there's still Eve V products available, and so don't think to try. Of the thousands that they're selling, maybe 20 people are trying to sell atm. Again, this is for people to make their own conclusion - I'm just glad that there is a process in the first place... if there wasn't, I'd be just as unsure as you. EDIT: Don't worry about it taking so long - It's currently completely on schedule and frequent updates from the company confirm this.
  2. I hope we all fully understand the risks associated with crowd-funding, and of course I strongly advise everyone to do their research and make their own conclusion - point taken. That being said, Eve is being very, very transparent about their production process, and my personal opinion is that they're going to deliver a quality product. Otherwise I wouldn't have bought one! It's a shame I'm also trying to sell mine now... Low on funds, and with any crowd-funding, there's no easy refund option.
  3. Does anyone remember the hype for the Eve V, with their IndieGoGo campaign? The campaign asked for a deposit, and now the time has come to pay the remainder. At this particular time, there are quite a few people trying to sell their slots... I guess that they don't want them anymore. It means that there's quite a few laptops going back on sale, at Early Bird prices! http://eve.community/t/official-buyers-sellers-waitinglist/4354/92 You don't have to worry about scams from buying the slots from other customers, Eve has an official method for transferring places from one person to the other. Prices in USD, converted through PayPal. The product is sold directly through Eve, shipping costs are extra.
  4. You're asking a very subjective question. If you're looking for specific models, specify what you're planning on using it for, and more detail in general. There's so many monitors out there, that there's bound to be one that meets your needs.
  5. Wouldn't be surprised if it's just a setting that can be changed in the website software - This thing wasn't coded from scratch by LTT after all.
  6. My theory is that it is the default colour for the website community software that LTT is using, as the default theme for the software is blue! It's such a browser-specific property that I'm not surprised it's been overlooked.
  7. You have no idea how many times I've made that mistake
  8. I'm quite liking the idea of a mobile-first window system. So many operating systems are trying to achieve convergence where the same OS can run on every device, but Android has to scale up instead of down - I imagine companies such as Microsoft and Canonical are going to have to spend a lot more time honing the performance of their systems on less powerful phones, while Android already has that efficiency and can add more features going up. Plus, my inner designer is drooling at the simplicity and style of Android's implementation.
  9. Well, it is a good sound dampening foam - Silverstone is a good brand. I doubt you're going to find foam that's designed to be easily taken off - the idea is to "set it and forget it", and never remove it from the computer case. If you've worried about not being able to ever get it completely off, don't worry - any form of strong alcohol (not for drinking!), methanol or white spirit should take care of the problem in seconds.
  10. They're designed to not come off easily... You don't want it to just fall off. I think the main issue is that you probably can't peel it off intact, and that to get rid of any residue it's most likely that you'll need some form of solvent. I don't own the product, just speculating.
  11. MS Office 2016 is provided through my college, but I'm still sticking with Libreoffice. Even though both options are free for me, I just like knowing that I won't have to worry about paying for something I'm already using in the future. I suppose the other side of it is that I run Arch Linux exclusively and running a virtual machine just for some word processing cramps my style.
  12. The product comes with 2 3.5mm jacks, which you can use as one for speakers and one for headphones. It also has a microphone jack, but that just passes it through. Or do you mean dual 3.5mm as in you need two for each, in surround sound? No worries, you're some anonymous guy on the internet to me and I can't know the skills of everyone. Just throwing the idea out there. That would be a good solution, if you prefer not to have a physical switch. I don't use Windows so I don't know how you change the audio output, but it can be done! Either mine or @Un4tural's solution should work.
  13. That's true if you want to look at it in terms of the range of products - ATX is more popular, so there are more types available. Having said that, if you're not too picky about your mobo, you can get a much better deal on an mATX. And yeah, just stay away from mini-ITX.
  14. mATX hits that sweet spot where larger motherboards use more materials and get more expensive, while smaller motherboards cram more in... and get more expensive.
  15. That's not dependant on the motherboard, only the PC case. I always recommend Fractal Design, but there's plenty of other case manufacturers that can fit a 240mm rad into an mATX case. Just don't try to fit one into a mini-ITX motherboard/case combo. Also, make sure you do your research - some cases may support two 120mm fans, but not have enough height/depth to fit in a 240mm radiator since they need a slight bit of clearance above them. This is something to watch out for in all cases, not just mATX ones.
