  1. Ok, is it just me or have I been waiting a decade to see Linus continue work on the $100,000 PC Build? Anyone know if it has reached Floatplane and is coming to Youtube?
  2. Awesome find! Thanks for sharing EK definitely needs to hear about this.
  3. You can get an i3-8100 for 109.99 and use that savings for a GTX 1050. An get a better single core performance than Ryzen. Intel i3 8100 $109.99 USD https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0759FTRZL/?tag=pcpapi-20 vs Ryzen 2400G $159.99 USD Savings gives you $50 towards a dedicated GPU not to mention savings you get from being able to buy slower ram on Intel without performance hit.
  4. #1 Yes #2 You can still play AAA titles with Vega APU, just know that it will be low settings @ 1080p 60hz #3 Yes #4 Depends, there are still good options on the Intel side where you could use Intel HD Graphics while waiting for GPU. #5 Just download the Windows 10 Creators Update ISO and don't activate it, you won't beable to change personalization settings. Linux, very limited game titles.
  5. It's old buddy, haven't updated my profile.
  6. I don't have a 770, I have a GTX 1070. No it doesn't, I have to hack saw the DP port clean off even if IO Bracket was for Type C.
  7. Because I would need to hack saw off the DP port they stuck on second slot. Some people like to EK watercool and replace the back backet with a single slot. Allows us to use the other PCIE slot that gets blocked by 2 slot cards. See the problem yet?
  8. Um go get the AMD Driver from AMD's site, simple google search. https://www.amd.com/en/support/apu/amd-ryzen-processors/amd-ryzen-3-desktop-processors-radeon-vega-graphics/amd-ryzen-3-0 Download the one that says "Adrenalin Edition 18.8.1"
  9. Ok really, nobody is taking about this? There is a Type C port on the RTX 2080/2080ti, why did you have to do this to all of the cards... it completely ruins single slot water cooling these cards. If someone really wants a type c port for the GPU then get a Type C to Displayport cable! https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-CDP2DPMM6B-USB-DisplayPort-Cable/dp/B01EZH7CKO #ScrewYouApplevidia
  10. Ok so I have been doing more research on head pressure and flow rate. While I was doing this I got an idea, what if I adapted a inline water psi gauge into a pc water cooling loop. Could I use it to measure the head pressure in different parts of my loop? Converting pressure in psi to head in feet It seems like a fun project to better understand how a water loop works...
  11. Would it matter if I used a high flow rate pump like this dual pump from EK? EK-XTOP Revo Dual D5 PWM Serial Maximum flow: 1500L/h https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-xtop-revo-dual-d5-pwm-serial-incl-pump
  12. Couldn't I use T's Splitters that connect to a single input and output pipe?
  13. I have a question, how would I link 2 GPU's that I want to keep separate to a single reservoir, pump, and radiator? Reason is I want to use Quick Disconnect Connectors on both. Here is a visual...
  14. I am the opposite, I avoid motherboards with Wi-Fi. It's added expense that I have no use for. Wi-Fi really sucks when your used to using Ethernet, Wi-Fi Problems Adds Latency Loses Speed over distance Struggles to provide Gigabit speeds Interference from high number of surrounding Wi-Fi Access Points
  15. That's intended as older windows are no longer supported on new hardware and hits EOL in 2020.
  16. Hello everyone, I have gone back and forth on this thought and wanted to know what the general consensus is... So here it goes... Currently Chrome OS Supports... Android Apps Chrome Browser Limited Hardware Linux Programs(In Beta) Would you use ChromeOS as a Windows Replacement? In my opinion I would... if ChromeOS would add custom hardware support / iso download and pc game support. I would even pay for a license!
  17. Disable one of the CPU's or Set the CPU Affinity in Windows 10 to only use the cores on one CPU.
  18. A dedicated PhysX card actually can decrease performance and PhysX isn't supported by many games...
  19. Well your asking for the best black and that's going to be OLED, I don't know why your so against it. If it's too expensive for you then just save up till you can afford what you are really looking for. Your options for Android TV built-in is Sony or Sharp, they are the only ones that partnered with Google. Just go to the store and find the TV that you like. Then add a NVidia Shield for $179.99 USD.
  20. OLED is the best for black as it disables pixels that are supposed to display black, saving power and making true black. This is the tech that allows "Always on Display" on phones without killing screen or battery. My recommendation is to get an LG OLED and just buy a NVidia Shield for $179.99 USD.
  21. Hello everyone I am wondering what people opinions are on this(iStarUSA DN-105-T) rackmountable case and whether or not they think it can fit a blower-style GPU. iStarUSA DN-105-T http://www.istarusa.com/en/istarusa/products.php?model=DN-105-T
  22. Thunderbolt 3 ports only have X4 bandwidth, so most enclosures are PCIEX16 length @ X4 electrical. Technically they could just put a X4 slot in the enclosure that accepts longer card but that would make the GPU flex more.
  23. Hello everyone I have a question that seems difficult to calculate when looking at curved monitors, how would one calculate how much space 3 curved monitors would take up when sitting them aligned perfectly to make a continuous curving screen without knowing the arc of the displays? I don't understand why none of the manufactures list the arc of each display not just the width. Kind of need to know if I have space for 3x34" arcs or 3x32" arcs or 3x27" arcs. Here's a visual... If Samsung's 49" CHG90 wasn't 1080 pixels tall a single monitor might of scratched the itch. Anyways please comment below.
  24. Could be made back in power consumption savings maybe? True it is, but it can run standard Linux distros that support ARM64.
