  1. http://www.gamestar.de/videos/sniper-ghost-warrior-3-shooter-oder-softporno-story-video,92222.html Translated using Google Translate: "We recently had the opportunity to play an almost finished version of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 . For the first time there were also real scenes from the story. But even in the first cutscene we asked quite fast, is this still a shooter or have we got into the middle of the opening of a porn scene?" I don't know if nsfw ;p
  2. Wonder if Linus gonna place Xbox One in a vertical position on that wall - that could kill it! The Xbox One was made to be placed only in horizontal position. Otherwise... well, let's say that if he's gonna play some disc-based games, he could never play them again...
  3. Super cool, to see that the projectors market is expanding. I think this is the future of the home-cinema. The battle over who has more inches like in the TV department, with projector would be over, as you can do how many inches you want - at least if you have large enough wall Wonder how man LG PF1000U inches would make on my wall
  4. Well, that video mostly answers my recent problem whether to buy the first or the second Yi Camera. That screen on the back would be very useful, as well as the longer battery life, and ofc the 4K support. Hope it will get a little bit cheaper after the official release. As for now it's not 219$ in my country as it cost nearly everywhere, but 300$ thanks to the local distributor that wants to rip-off from people...
  5. I'm using $ as it's the currency, that most people know In Poland we have PLN, and my top-tier of money to spend on the camera is 800PLN, which is around 200$/140GBP. And that would match the prices of the Yi Cameras. Or at least the cheaper one, for the 4K I would have to wait anyway, so I could save a little bit more.
  6. As a matter of fact I would rather need a camera to just stand on a tripod, to shoot a specific angle without moving it, so the "action" feature in those action cameras doesn't concerns me It'll be cool to get something more powerful than such a cheap camera for 200$, but my wallet really would hurt if I'll buy something beyond that price.
  7. I'm looking for some camera that can record with high bitrate and has a pretty solid optic sensons. As those provided with modern smartphones sometimes are really good (I have the Huawei P8), they record with such low bitrate it's a shame. Thanks for your opinion @ShadowCaptain I'll wait for the reviews of Yi 4K.
  8. Hello everyone! I'm now seriously thinking about getting into shooting movies for YouTube (special project that includes make-up as a superhero, mask, etc.) with some crazy things and reviews of uncommon items (not technology related). As I don't want to invest a sh*tload of money into hardware for making this project I was thinking about getting an action cam, as I think it would realize my requirements perfectly (I don't need autofocus or zoom). After a bunch of online searching I've found the Xioami's action cams called "Yi". The first one (cost aroud 60-70$), can shoot in 2K at 30fps with 35Mbps with mod. It requires phone with app to change the options and to have the preview of what the camera is shooting. The new one called Yi II (or Yi 4K), can shoot 4K at 30fps with 60Mbps (it's gonna be released this or the next month, pre-order is 249$, but it will probably drop a little bit in price after the official release). It doesn't require the phone app to change the settings (but it can be done, like with the first one), and it has the touchscreen on the back to see the preview and to change the camera options. Do you think it's worth to spend some more $$$ to get the 4K version as a future-proof device? Or maybe you think as for the YouTube materials 2K is enough? Do You have any thoughts? I'll gladly read them all
  9. Now we know the price for the Core Box - I'm updating the main post with this information. I hope someone in the future will also make such a device - competition on this field should straighten the horrible price in the future...
  10. I was thinking about the possibility of having a dedicated external graphics card and you know what? This is the solution for having a VR compatible laptop. Most of the gaming laptops have both dedicated and discrete graphics card - and those shi#y discrete cards makes some problems around VR compatibility (some kind of HDMI being controlled by the discrete card or something like that and they can't go over 60Hz - as I remember, but I can be wrong). I wish that they would invent and implement a universal solution for the external GPU in every laptop in the future. It would so awesome
  11. Well it is compatible with Razer's Core enclosure for desktop graphics cards. So maybe that was their main purpose. Thanks to that you can get whatever graphics card You want. Another reason is that maybe they know something about the next graphics cards from NVIDIA and with that knowledge they didn't wanted to invest in the new graphics cards generation or something...
  12. Yeah... And what I don't understand is why it is 2999€ in Europe and 1999$ is the US - even if Euro would have equal price to the US Dollar - then 1999 plus Tax should be around 2,5k - not 3k...
  13. Oh, sweet! I'll add that link to the main post
  14. If only the price wasn't such a choice-killer for me
