Ok, take 2 since the image didn't load properly.

I'm wondering if this tear in the sleeve of the tube is going to be an issue. I just bought this used 1080 ti Hybrid.

I'm assuming not because that's a cloth sleeve around the plastic tube (I might even tear the whole cloth sleeve away). But if anyone has experience with these let me know.

Vendor said they don't have the receipt for warranty anymore so I need to make sure this works. I'll be leak testing the card when it arrives anyway.

@soldier_ph Hmm. For real? Do you know how the material here works?

looks like normal fraying than tear

but still, does AIO tube sleeving get mangled up like that? jesus

@Moonzy you ever have any AIO with sleeved tubes? I just want to know that the cloth sleeving doesn't actually affect the tube itself.

    no i don't, unfortunately

but if i had to guess, the sleeving is purely cosmetics

and i guess the fraying in the photo i showed is caused by the velcro of the band holding it together

    Interesting.

Well worst case scenario I return the card after a leak test, should be fine

I don't have experience with those, but it looks pretty damaged to be so definitely leak test it a lot to make sure it's only cosmetic.

The braided sleeving is just sleeving over the rubber hose. If the sleeving has frayed it shouldn't be an issue. Check that the rubber hose underneath is still in good condition without any large cracks or splits and you should be fine.

Thanks @ProjectBox153 @Spotty for the input. I'll be thoroughly leak testing it when it arrives.
