  1. Wait, are you messing with me? 4gigs is more than enough for some video watching :b
  2. Should it be? i only got to test it for a couple of minutes before leaving on holiday, and I saw quite a lot of dropped frames about 100/700 on a 1080p 60fps youtube stream
  3. So im building a htpc out of some older spare parts, but I'm not really sure if it's enough for 1080p 60fps youtube /netflix streaming. i have a Sfx 200w powersupply, so I can't put anything major in it. i also have a 9500gt if that's any better. anyone using something similar? Specs: FX 1800 4gb ram Some old x58 Xeon with 4 cores
  4. You might just be unlucky, although that gpu will blow away games either way. You could try increasing core voltage
  5. Maybe if you try really hard, but you should not worry about scratching your components with you nails. Very hard to do
  6. Lately i have been trying to make a bootable linux usb for benchmarking and troubleshooting pc's laptops etc. I do alot of that stuff on my free time and not having to bring a big ssd is a big plus. I have no experience with linux but i managed to get slax installed on a 2gb USB 2.0 usb stick. Everything boots up fine (Guessing drivers get installed automaticly?) But when i launced a furmark thing the whole system turns off? Anyway i'm a noob and need some help with benchmarking with linux.
  7. That did it! No idea why that was on... runs on 1,3v 3ghz ~3,5ghz 92% usage
  8. So i just got an fx 6300 and a MSI 970 gaming motherboard for really cheap. The issue is that the CPU caps out at around 40% usage when running prime95 or Aida64. It's stuck at 7 multiplier and 1,4ghz (0,9v). ive set the bios to default and cleared cmos without any results. High performance mode in windows does nothing. Im guessing there are some settings in the bios? Anybody know of this issue?
  9. Open it up and add some kind of shielding maybe?
  10. if you are lazy, put it in the washing machine, if not clean it with cloth drenched in warm water
  11. You have to go more in detail here.. Any beeps, light etc? You have the thing plugged into charger right? You might just have a fried component if it shut down like that. If you don't have any warranty left you might aswell take a look inside and try with other ram unplug harddrive etc
  12. you should put in a solid psu. that makes the machine way more reliable
  13. That looks pretty good! Are the clocks stable tho? they often go down after stresstesting for a long time. Ive always been sceptical to evga's coolers but those temps looks really nice
  14. It's mostly in laptops that TN panels are a no-go. In a monitor you will be looking at it from the same angle pretty much. As for colors you will be fine if you are not doing anything that needs accurate colors
  15. Oh wow, i meant to say Cryorig h7. The tower style cooler. Sorry about that, fixed now
