  1. And to continue what @SImoHayha is suggesting, have you checked if the motherboard has post code lights/number display. If so, does it match anything in the motherboard documentation?
  2. Hi all, After a long back and forth with Gigabyte support, they just gave up and said, "RMA it!". I elected to use the HDMI port for my second monitor and effectively gave up on using usb-c. I have been looking at how the usb-c alt mode is handled in the motherboard documentation, and I'm actually wondering if it is the CPU. I re-seated the CPU to see if that helped, and it didn't. Another issue appeared in the last week or two. The system would appear to hang for a few seconds, the screens would go black for about 2 seconds, and then fix itself. Any mouse/keyboard clicks I did during the hang time would actually work, I just couldn't see the results. This makes me think that everything is working, except for the integrated graphics part of my CPU. I'm hoping someone with some knowledge gets to this next sentence. Is there a tool that runs an AMD Ryzen 7000 series CPU through a series of tests to see if everything is working correctly? I would prefer not to RMA my CPU if I could first confirm if there was an issue or not.
  3. I have posted something to the Gigabyte eSupport portal to attempt to get a resolution. If I get something helpful back, I will let you all know.
  4. I'm about to start a conversation with Gigabyte about one of their motherboards. (the USB-C alt mode setting is missing in the BIOS) Since people here seem to have experience with Gigabyte, what is the best way to start this conversation with them?
  5. Re-seat the GPU. I know it seems stupid, but, it has helped me before.
  6. Hi all, I have set up a simple new computer with the following MB: Gigabyte B650I AORUS ULTRA CPU: Ryzen 7900 RAM: 32GB of it etc It is a two monitor set up. My old system used two display ports, but my new system uses integrated graphics, so I have to use what is on the motherboard. I used the normal display port and I am also attempting to use the USB alt mode as my second display port. However, the monitor using the usb-c port isn't working. I found references via google stating that I needed to turn on alt mode via the bios, but I can't find it in the bios. The monitor and cable are rated for displayport 1.2 and the motherboard is rated for 1.4. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?
  7. Hi all! I'm planing out my new work computer, and I'm considering using the integrated graphics in the AMD Ryzen 7000 series chips instead of a dedicated graphics card. The idea being that I would be able to get a very small ITX case, since there would be no need to support a long graphics card. However, I use 2x 1440p monitors. Does anyone know if the integrated graphics in the 7000 series chips support multiple monitors? Cheers and beers!
  8. I found this video from the future. It is clearly the Linus Media Groups server room. There is smoke coming out of the server cabnets
  9. I think they just really wanted to blame people like Linus for SLI disappearing.
  10. I came across this car crash video on youtube today. It seems that the driver was listening to the WAN show when the accident occured. Have a watch...
  11. Summary The Australian government agency the Australian Competition & Consumer Commision (ACCC) has stepped into the Epic/Apple/Google fray. The ACCC has the power to force Apple to allow other in-app payment platforms. This is one of the early steps of this happening. Quotes My thoughts Just like the right to repair movement, only one major government needs to legislate the changes for it to affect how Apple and Google operate. 12. I'm hoping that it will ends quickly. It already feels over used.
  13. I hope you are being sarcastic. I'm being brutal. I think it has been 6 hours since Gamers Nexus published his video, 7 hours for JayzTwoCents and I think two hours since BitWits. Some of the LinusTechTips videos have been getting rather lazy. Look at the "Project Zero Cables" video, and then compare it to the whole room water cooling series. The "Project Zero Cables" video is just lazy, as there are so many things wrong (like the cables not being secured well, metal bar not being countersunk, etc). The time delay for the RTX3000 video is just adds to my concern of the channel. Linus has a large staff. He should be able to distribute the tasks across this team to ensure a quick, and still professional, response time. They knew this announcement from Nvidia was coming, they could have planned for it. Again, where is the dedication Linus?
  14. You're too slow. I have already watched JayzTwoCents, Gamers Nexus and Bitwit's videos. What happened to the dedication Linus?
  15. Is anyone still using this in Star Citizen? Yes I know it has been 5 1/2 years since this video went out.
