Hey guys,
Building a new gaming computer soon and saw this Newegg Shell Shocker come up:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.2776726
It's an i5-4690k, Asus Z87-A NFC Express mobo, and G.SKILL Ripjaws 8GB memory for $300.
These exact parts cost about $355 normally, and they're essentially the same as my planned parts list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/LGPXCJ
Note: The CPU on my parts list is $150 because one of my friends has one that he'd sell me.
Seeing as I was planning to get the Z97-A, what's the real difference between the Z87 board and Z97 board? I know it's something to do with the chipset, but I'm not exactly sure.
Thanks!
P.S. If you've got any tips for my part list, any help is much appreciated.
