Hey guys. I'm having an interesting problem with my desktop PC. My PC is quite old but its purpose is for storage, browsing, typing documents and printing.
Specs are (pls no flame):
CPU: Q8300
MB: MSI P45-7519 Neo
GPU: NVidia GTS250
2GB RAM, 500 HDD
It was running Win XP for a few years (was away from home) and recently I cleaned the PC of dust and that old OS. Freshly installed Windows 7 32 bit Service pack 1 and everything runs just fine except for, strange but interesting, keyboard. Not every keyboard works on my PC. I have 3 keyboards Redragon Usas, Cooler Master Devastator II and Genius K215. Redragon works perfectly but other two keyboard are not. Sometimes they work like there is a major input lag like 10 seconds after pressing a key, like the key is stuck after pressing it and it's not and other times it just doesn't respond. Windows is fully updated till today, all drivers are installed, chipset, GPU, audio etc. I've tried every USB port (front and back) Redragon works flawlessly while other are not. The USB slots are not shorted out, check for that. In BIOS settings USB legacy support is enabled. Every other USB device works fine in every port (mouse, flash drivers, USB mobile cables,... ). Uninstalled USB drivers after plugging in the keyboards that don't work, tried again, tried updating, Windows says it's up to date.
I'll mention once more, I did took apart the whole PC, took out the components, cleaned them of dust, changed termal paste on CPU and GPU, wired everything up and a day or two later, when I had some time formatted and freshly installed Windows 7 SP1. I'm not an experienced builder but everything is connected just fine (even front I/O works xD), fired up some benchmarks and the PC was running like a beast, I mean old beast.
What am I missing guys? Has anyone else encountered this problem?
