  1. Whoops, RaidMax RX850w 80+ Gold I figured there mightve been an issue there, I ran two separate cords instead of using the two ends on one cable. This didn't change anything. As far as I can tell all of my tests on the hardware checked out. The adrenaline software just... didn't wanna. But any input is appreciated!
  2. Ok this is mostly curiosity now because I ended up switching, but a Linus video on the 5600xt made me think things again. the horror. I just had to return an XFX 5700xt THICC III ULTRA due to 3 solid weeks of black screens, crashes, and other software issues. I had zero ability to overclock or even mess with ANYTHING (stock settings ONLY) AND the card struggled to handle even Destiny 2 @1080p/144 on "high" (NOT maxed.) It straight up would not even allow me to open Rocket League... Blah blahBlahblahblahBLAHHH! So the question is thiiiiis, HOW ON EARTH are you guys able to actually use the new Radeon 2020 Software?! I tried everything! I had pro's help me out! And I AM a pro! (Ok sorta pro.) Just, endless software issues even after 3 patches from AMD (who have been trying to fix this for months) and apparently there were a huge number of returns for the same reason, specifically for most versions of the 5700xt. Just a quick note, I was also having similar issues with my old R9 390 8gb the moment Adrenaline 2020 released. the 2019 version didn't have any of these issues. This is actually what prompted the upgrade in the first place. Bleh. System: Msi X270 Tomahawk Arctic (xmp + gameboost on) I7-7700k @ 4.8Ghz 32gb Corsair ddr4 @3200 Nvme w/ win10 pro 1909 5700xt Aorus 1080ti I was really stoked about this line-up. At least I Lucked out and found a 1080ti for $350, got it working inside of 2 hours. (Though if I attempt to over-clock, it crashes pretty quick.) Is it my system? Is it too old? What did I do wrong?
  3. In the simplest words possible. The answer is yes. If you are still unsure, go to a store like Fry's and they will show you a physical example so you can understand.
  4. That sounds dope, however, i imagine they will still be expensive so planning would be awesome. Is there any way you know how to look up releases? I keep hearing about them after they've happened.
  5. I currently own 3 video cards, 2x EVGA 970's, and 1x R9 390 8gb. And I'm trying to up my graphics/gaming output. Given the build below, do I effort and obtain a new mobo that can run SLI for the 970's? Do I keep the R9? OR do I sell all three and attempt to obtain a newer card? (Titan / 1070 Ti / 1080 / 1080 Ti) Given that hwcompare can give the direct comparison of 1x 970, but not 2x, I have troubles finding answers on if SLI is even worth it. But overclocking the 7700k is! But I'm new to overclocking (never had the hardware for it until now) Halp. I can't seem to find a solid answer on any of this. Any suggestions are welcome. Also if anyone can help me overclock the beast 7700k? If I can hit 5.0Ghz that would be pretty diggity dope. This mobo has over clocking options, but as far as *I* can tell it has no "core voltage" setting which Im pretty sure is needed for stable over-clocks beyond what's currently running. If a new/better mobo is needed, which one do I get? Currently running: I7-7700k @4.5Ghz MSI Z270 Tomahawk Arctic 8 gb (1 stick) Vengence DDR4 RAM (white) 2x EVGA GTX 970's (reference clock) 850W psu (forgot the brand but tis decent)
  6. Bahahaha sure let me head right back into dream world so i can grab you a dream card so your dreams can be rendered in 4k
  7. No way man, did you read the thing? Linus went full ragequit and then set up tazers on his cards. Don't ask me why this is a good idea but still.
  8. If anyone reads this. Share it. Because it was the weirdest thing to watch. Linus, Or anyone else if you read this, I am So sorry. It was just too f*cking hilarious to not share. My simple graphics card (gtx 650) died a while ago. I was able to find a similar replacement for not too much cash. Yes, this does concern the dream. And I've been helping my friends upgrade their PC's to serious gaming machines. Its kind of fun. Even though im too broke to even buy a new 650 hahaha. Alright the dream goes like this... In the dream im walking around at night, fiddling with a stick and being generally awesome (like always). I saw this odd, white sign sticking out of the ground and was curious who buries their plant with the sticker still attached. So i walk up to this small rectangular box thinking its just some seeds in the ground but this little tab sticking out said R9Nano 4Gb blahblah. I was shocked. I looked around and wondered who the hell would burry such an expencive video card. It can't possibly be a real card I thought to myself. So I dug into the ground until i found a white box, with blue labeling. The box's label matched the tag. Then I opened the box to find a freaking R9 Nano inside. It was really buried. Why the f*ck was it buried? Considering my recent loss of graphics card and my lust for super-tastic visuals, I considered taking the card altogether. Besides, whoever decided to bury the card didn't deserve it anyway. Such horrid treatment of such a beautiful device. But at this point in the dream something caught my eye... Another white tag, sticking out of the ground. No... This tag had R9 385x! The next tag had R9 390 8Gb. I walked around for about 5 minutes checking tag after tag. GTX Titan. GTX 980ti. And they were everywhere. I was shocked. It was like they were trying to grow graphics cards straight out of the ground. I decided whoever planted these graphics card seeds was a bit too weird to piss off by stealing from them. So I started walking home. After hearing something bump behind me a ways I look back to see Linus and two of his goons following me with mean faces. They thought I had stolen one of their cards! I had already started running because three guys following you at night is enough to freak anyone out. I stopped after they catch up to me "I didn't take anything I promise." Linus didn't care. He was mad. While his goons rummaged through my empty backpack Linus went full RageQuit on my ass. Slapping, yelling like a little girl, pulling me around until he fell over and yelled at Luke to come help him. Luke pulled me off and sighed. "He doesn't have any of our cards Linus." (I don't know who the second goon was) Linus, still tilted, started talking loudly about upping security of his stuff. Someone shouldn't be able to come and take his cards out of the ground without getting electricuted with 100,000 volts. They let me walk home, marked my address down to make sure I didn't try to steal their shit again and walked away. To Linus Tech Tips, Linus and friends... Just... Thank you. I've never had such a weird ass dream that made me laugh so hard. -Brett
  9. Cool. Dont give a shit if you want to download or not. But thank you for your input sire. deWaardt, Thank you. Now the process of finding another new card. >.>
  10. Go to your local thrift shop, pick up any old speaker you like, and give it this, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3k9lWz48rw. Total of around 50euros for everything you should end up needing including tools to make these things if you don't already. I built this ^ build. Its sound quality is excellent. Better than some store-bought speakers with a little 40 watt speaker i literally found on the road. So there's an idea.
  11. Watch this clip of some league footage... This is happening with everything from desktop to gaming clients. There seems to be no connection between any of the programs. Is this a hardware failure? Performance otherwise hasn't dropped at all. It just makes these weird glitches. I'm highly confused. Does anyone have information on this? Can i fix it? League of Legends 04.13.2016 - 01.48.26.01.mp4
  12. Yes the power supply would work, but under load you want something higher rated just to make sure you don't have any issues in the long run. I'd suggest a 750W gold rating from corsair. Decent price and you wont need to replace it in the long run, even if you feel like adding upgrades like a second graphics card. Also you could save a little money on the CPU, the 6600k has nearly the same performance if not the same numbers. Unless you plan on overclocking in which case the high end might be the better choice anyway.
  13. What programs can i use to monitor and record my benchmarks? I had a program but it only displays FPS. Anyone know something awesome? Thanks!
  14. Hello LTT! new member. Anything exciting i should know? On an unrelated note, where can i find a decent upgrade to my gtx650 2gb? I dont really care what kind of card it is although im hugely enjoying Nvidia. I now root for the green team. Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions where i might save money on a more capable card. That would be awesome.
