have you selected a file? and selected what type of file u want to encode it to? what are u using, amd gpu, nvidia or intel? if ur making a game file smaller next time just record using bandicam i get 25min files that look crystal clear with no color banding or artifacting or noise ,,nothing and they come to about 1.2GB using amd app recording in bandicam

i found this online from the dudes who made the game basically i should set my sample rate to the highest i can but shall i set it to headphones or full dynamic range is windows going to fuck with how i hear shit?

ok i just installed alien isolation again on pc who wants to see the difference between deep color / HDR and normal umm, normal color? i have fucked about abit with it , and when i set the game to 4k i see loaads of color banding, so im feeling my fury x cant do 4k 12bit color because i got my screen plugged in via HDMI 1.4 so it dont have enough bandwidth anyway who wants to see the difference? by the way you have to set your screen to atleast 10BIT in your nvidia / amd driver gameforceworks / crimson settings app too see a difference in the comparison shots im going to post btw i only get this option if i have my tv plugged in via HDMI if i use display port i dont get to choose what bpc i can see or use, and then my tv dosent show what its using either, but if i use hdmi my tv shows 12bit and it does here tooooooooo anyway if you people wanna see the difference let me know if not, i wont bother and u can wait for linus's video on this

none of them have done HBM benchmarks i have go check the figures some of us here even compared it to their own 980ti's the same app i used is where the amd polaris leaks have been coming from AFTER i done the HBM test so looks like amd internally use what i use

check my fiji xt hbm bandwidth benchmarks its not 512GB/S it was allot less and im sure the rift uses like 20 usb connections

nah man fiji's hbm performance is over exaggerated i done benchmarks on it and posted them somewhere on the forums so u think gddr5 is too slow,,but usb latency is fine?

but it does it actualy looses fps and as more games use more and more and more of it,,, it will start to loose even more fps nowander why they going to be shipping gpus at 2000mhz with less cuda cores they done the same with maxwell to counteract the lack of async

but it does it makes the gpu loose fps if u compare the cards running in dx12 and dx11 playing the same game basicaly in layman terms no async dx11= 50fps dx12= 30fps async = dx11=50fps dx12=75fps

Its not a secret that pascall architecture is capable of context switching, basically the stuff hyper threading does to utilise both arithmetic logic units whilst the control unit is busy and frees up,, so it can not do asynchronous compute as it only has ONE Gigathread thats what compute preemption does as stated in the pascal white paper released by nVidia which is below https://images.nvidia.com/content/pdf/tesla/whitepaper/pascal-architecture-whitepaper.pdf Now i can be wrong in saying this buuuuuuuuuut as the GCN 1.4 consoles launch and have more than the current 8 Asynchronous control engines as GCN 1.3 does it meens that the latest games will be utilising more and more asynchronous compute and as shown in dx12 game benchmarks maxwell looses performance bigtime in FCAT benchmarks with only minor async compute loads, and actually will give less fps in dx11 than dx12 so this will happen to the pascall cards too right? so as more and more games come out, the cards will perform slower and slower this is a shame because when i watched the gtx 1080 &1070 get released i was actualy excited for an nVidia gpu for the first time since the geForce 3 Titanium series man the fps stats they gave,, faster than a titan x and wayy cheeper i was thinking of getting one what a shame what a shame i hope someone can prove me wrong

But what technology sucks? what part needs the improvement? we all feel immersed in a game, shit most the time when im watching tv, im there,, im zoned in,, i notice nothing around me i dont feel sick even watching low frame rate films,,, so that rules out the need of high refresh rates or am i wrong?

Iv got a variety of headphones, and my frequency range on most of them range from around 20hz+ (maby lower) although iv done the youtube test and i can definitely hear 1hz , though youtube's compression could be a factor,, i know where you are getting at, but what im tryna get to is, do games use a high sample rate?

Whats the main cause of this? loads of people say its latency yea.. but wheres the main latency from? i kind of think its due to the USB connections so basicaly the whole chipset ,not all of it but parts of it including the pci express lanes and how the cpu has to deal with ishh maby some people may say nVidia due to them having a disadvantage from the api point nVidia claims its the audio.... but what do YOUUU think yes you mhm you *points at you* no not the guy behind you

ok so im trying to see wat gayme settings i should use for audio, now im guessing if i use the audio passthrough from my hdmi port to my tv then that will use my fury x's trueaudio asic which is like the new nvidia audioworks , but i got my surround sound bose thing plugged into my pc's headphone jack and i got a headphone plugged into that so im using headphones im also playing the gayme alien isolation and i duno if i should set the gaymes audio to "headphones" or "FULL DYNAMIC RANGE" ANYWAY ASIDE from that what shall i set my motherboards onboard audio settings to, this is a screenshot of tit usually in windows media player , when i got the bass cranked up to 31hz maximum if my sample rate settings in the second picture is set to 192000hz then the bass sounds real distorted,, but if i dial it back to 24bit 48000hz then the bass sounds nice and loud and smooth but that's just only windows media player right... will the same thing happen to the game?

Yea but the 960 has a better feature set... In regards to what is the 690 faster? Maxwell cards tend to have the best frame pacing out so far... even better than amd in some dx12 titles...
