I don't see how this is a story. Apple design their own bags for their retail stores, rather than outsourcing. Then they patent the design, as is standard practice.

    This is such a non-story.

Their OS is nice and easy to use, for most people

Their hardware is built really well. MBPs still feel like the best laptops out there. They feel very premium.

In terms of performer, for productivity which is what they seem to be built for, they work great. There's deffo some magic when the hardware and software is made by the same people.

Their phones are brilliantly secure as an out of the box product. Again built really well. Easy to use. Easy to transfer your data from one to their other when you update your phone.

Theres a small vocal minority for whom Apple stuff won't work for the job they need it for. They should just use the correct tool rather than moaning the wrong tool is the wrong tool.

Also, Apple laptops last so much longer than cheapo plastic boxes from your local big box retailer.

For most people, it doesn't matter how fast the specs are, facebook and twitter aren't going to load any quicker. Word processing won't be any better and loading up spreadsheets will be the same too.

So Google actually do this. But not exactly how you say.

Google send people out to locations to give better info on maps. I work for a big retailer in the UK. We were told someone from Google would be coming to update our Maps info.

Basically, a guy came, spent 15-20 minutes in the shop, walking around with a custom google made app open, which I guess was recording all the WiFi/GPS data. He was walking around on the shop floor tho, ie indoors. After that he spent 10mins or so pacing back and forth outside the very front of the shop, again with the app open. Then he said goodbye and left.
