  1. Make it a bloody option. Not a requirement.
  2. For Bitlocker driver encryption, the fucking hilarious fact is Windows 11 Home does not include Bitlocker yet requires TPM 1.2 minimum. The whole TPM requirement needs to fuck off so far away science is yet to create a term.
  3. I hope those on the insiders groups never stop bugging Microshit to remove the TPM requirement at least for Home versions.
  4. Define legacy? I think Skylake being cut off is a bit harsh, now a Pentium 4? sure, Core2Duo's and Q6600's? ok I can roll with that. But come on they are pushing it a little far.
  5. Someone, somewhere is getting so fired.
  6. I think older machines will have to wait for either custom .iso images or work on the official iso altering files etc to install Win11.
  7. Most people see their computers like a toilet why replace it while it works? They will sit on Windows 10 for possibly decades until it stops working period, this of course opens them up to security issues etc, however all they will see is Microsoft refusing to upgrade their computer.
  8. The start button position needs to be a option that users see during initial setup. Presented with a example with old/new and no extra blah then that.
  9. I am hoping @LinusTechgets a load of older processors right back to socket 775 Q6600's and tries them with loads of sketchy and budget motherboards and puts the whole topic to rest for a time.
  10. I've begun to call up many peeps a lot of them running socket 775 machines mixed between Quads and Dual Cores and saying post 2025 I can keep their machines going with a move to Linux which means zero cost to them, and they can keep using it for social media and YouTube with a bit of e-mail. The biggest stumbling block for many is keeping printer support. It's infuriating as they had begun with Win10's updates to get used to doing their updates. Many people see computers as you see a toilet, why replace it while it works? hopefully bypasses are found before then.
  11. PTT right will check next time I'm at the machine, I presume though no hope for a Ivybridge 3300 likely? I think the cut off for those was 2012 in support?
  12. Windows 11's TPM requirement needs fucking off so far, science has yet to come up with a distance definition for how far it's fucked off. It needs to become optional, give the users a choice, and a warning of why it would be great to have one.
  13. TPM requirement needs fucking off so hard a certain hub files a DCMA.
  14. Will they offer a legacy Win11 but only as subscription I ponder.
  15. Windows 11 is the shart on the wedding cake.

  16. Oh yes, and I hope for one that @LinusTechhas a minimum of twenty minutes video rant, with enough swearing to fill a Corsair 1000d swear case to glass bursting point.
  17. The shitstorm this will generate once it hits mainstream YouTube will be legendary.
  18. Everyone needs to mail a giant box of turds to Microsoft right now. https://www.sendshit.co.uk/
  19. At this point I am convinced the requirements are bullshit and someone somewhere made the typo of the fucking decade.
  20. The requirements are, and as I can see my GF's Skylake system a perfectly useable system is going to need a TPM module of course which is out of stock everywhere, why because it's required for a feature she will never use, and is not even included in the home version. FANTASTIC. Whoever decided upon this needs sending into the sun.
  21. WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK MCFUCK a requirement for a integrated tool not even included in the bloody operation system version?
  22. So could the TPM requirement be for users of Bitlocker and not mandatory for those who don't wish to use it. And this WHOLE damn thing is a mis understanding of the requirements being listed for use of all features?
