  1. In short, I bought a 3440×1440 35" Ultrawide monitor, which apparently is just a Nordic rebrand of the Massdrop Vast. Panel had a crack in it, so I called for RMA. No issue there, I'm being sent a new, different but comparable monitor. However, since I didn't have to actually return the old one, I was wondering if I could do anything with it. Digging round it seems I might be able to buy a new panel, but the price is fairly steep at 250-300$ total. Is that even worth it? Alternatively I could salvage and sell off the power and display boards. Could basically give it away since it didn't cost me anything. Or should I just send it for recycling and be happy? Please move this thread if this is the wrong place.
  2. I have a cheap R7 260x for the HTPC, so HDR features from latest gen would be nice.
  3. Because I need a fully SSD based NAS server. Regular harddisks are totally my bottleneck...
  4. Yeah, price wise it's fewer components with a 180 radiator and fan. Easily more silent with 1 larger fan than 4 smaller ones. Then to find a good 180mm fan. One minor advantage of 92mm was Noctua fans.
  5. I can have a single 120mm, but then a single 180mm is obviously more efficient... The issue is that a double 120mm, and 240mm is infact a double 120mm, is larger than 180mm... To simplify, consider a size constraint of ~200mm x ~200mm. 240 isn't going to fit...
  6. As mentioned: size constraints preventing me from using plural of the more common 120 or 140mm rads and fans. 240 = 2x120mm... So your input is that 92mm fans are noisy compared to a single 180mm fan then?
  7. I'm was pondering a theoretical build here at a moment when the question arose. Would two double 92mm radiators and fans be better or worse than a single 180mm radiator and fan? The differences in size of the radiators are negligible, and if the specifications regarding thickness and fin density are the same, I would assume they offer the same cooling performance. And similarily with 4x 92mm fans or 1x 180mm fan, to my logic they should offer the same performance. As such, would anyone be able to clarify and show benefits one way or another? Alas, size constraints preventing me from using plural of the more common 120 or 140mm rads and fans.
  8. Thank you. I even watched that video recently, I should've remembered... Must say I really like your design with getting 3 separate views of Reservoir, GPU and CPU depending on the side. Mind if I ask what the price of your new fancy cabinet is?
  9. Pardon if I'm ignorant now, but what program and/or supplier did you use for the custom designed case?
