  1. Yeah, I've seated it properly, reseated it, moves it to a different pcie slot and power has always been plugged in
  2. Spec : msi sli plus, i7 5820k, gtx 1070 ref, xfx 850w gold, 16gb corsair lpx, 250gb Samsung evo + 1tb wd blue. Hi, I bought a crucial 128gb ssd for my parents for Christmas, to upgrade their laptop from its antiquated 5400rpm hdd. I plugged both drives into my system to clone the drive, had to momentarily remove the graphics card and now I don't think the machine is posting. No image to the monitor, or power to the keyboard. I've reseated everything I could, reset the cmos battery and just about everything I could think of, still nothing. Help?
  3. Specs: intel i7 5820k on a msi sli plus cooled by corsair h100i. Reference gtx 1070 850w gold bfx psu 16gb corsair lpx ram Turned off pc last night after putting together a build for a friend, and playing mc on a server i was hosting. woke up today, turned on pc and screen wouldn't display anything. Screen works, system powers up (lights and fans) but not even a bios showing up. Dunno if the pc is actually getting to a bios, or bios version due to thr lack of screen. appreciate any and all assistance
  4. 4790k is definitely more bang for the buck. Going to skylake isnt exactly worth it imo, for a slight performance boost, and kaby lake definitely not. Intel will have peak prices on that.
  5. Lol people still happily run 2600ks. Age doesnt matter here, overclocking will increase longevity for a looong time more than the 6700
  6. Fixed! Not entirely sure how, but I messed around in the bios (In the usb part) of system. Glad that's out of the way
  7. Looks Like both windows 7 & 10 use the same driver, but 7 has 2 more available. can't figure out wether this is a choice or I need both of them.
  8. Yeah, Everything is from 7 X64. Stumped on what this is...
  9. Which Drivers did you install? All three or a specific one?
  10. So recently I stepped my windows 10 down to 7 (10 was hogging 100% of my hard drive) and have been having trouble with usb devices. With A lot of tinkering, I got my keyboard and mouse working using the 2 usb 3.1 ports on the back of the MSI X99 sli plus motherboard, but haven't been able to get any other usb ports working. I downloaded all the usb 3.0 drivers I could find on their website (for the board) Including the; ASMedia USB3.0/3.1 Drivers, Intel USB 3.0 Driver and the Via USB3.0 Driver. However with all of these (or one at a time) installed it hasn't worked. Would love to hear any advice, Thanks in Advance.
  11. Afraid the cables arent removable. I have put heat shrink tubing over part of the tear, however it is spreading a bit too fast to patch without covering the entire cable.
  12. Over the summer, around July to August, I bought a pair of sennheiser momentum in ears(Galaxy models, btw). I discovered after only a short time that the cable on these earphones (connected to the jack. The split cables are fine) was folding and tearing. Unfortunately I cant return the earphones and am wondering if this is a common problem and if there is a good solution? I love the sound from the headphones and would hate to damage them to a point where the listening experience suffers, so I would be glad to hear anyone elses input and/or suggestions on the matter. Thanks in advance.
  13. Thanks for the advice, I think I have my mind for made up.
  14. Yeah I'm well aware 144hz is out of my price range.
  15. Nothing extreme, just a regular 23'' or so.
