    I have a VERY dusty and bad Geforce gt 705 (lol i know) but the rest of my pc is capable of running with a newer gpu. (i5 4460, 8gigs of ram) and i want to be able to normally use Windows Aero since even Intel HD Graphics is more powerfull in some ways. So yes i want it.

    Do you have got your GPU power connector plugged in? If not do so, that should fix it.

    that is actually good software that is open source, that is why it may look sketchy. and the iomap64.sys, is a component of the asus software asus mart doctor, like mojo jojo said. So maybe look under C:/Program Files/Asus/Asus Smart PC Doctor/ (C:/Program Files (x86)/Asus/Asus Smart PC Doctor/ too though) and delete everything you find. That should fix the problem

    that isn't the problem then. 600 w is more than enough to run a gtx 980 maybe its the drivers? try reinstalling them, or the entire os.

    Maybe try reinstalling the drivers? And im sorry, i have to say, no. Your amd fx 4300 isn't a good cpu. The 6300 is compatible to the i3, so yeah.

    maybe you can try replacing the thermal compound.

    you should try reinstalling the drivers for your graphics card, maybe that helps.

    maybe you can try installing windows 7 or 10, or 8.1 if windows 8 doesn't work. otherwise you should try looking in the bios for an option like graphics mode and set it to discrete or something like that. you can also try installing windows from the beginning with legacy mode enabled from the start and then later enabling UEFI or something else Good luck
