I came out last year as trans and I hope she gets the same benefits of greater understanding and self belief that I did from it.

My workplace and family have been supportive.

Reaching out to any local groups is always my advice.

Looking at Google Maps--it seems nice, but you'll need to catch one or more buses to reach Bridgeport Station. Some of the suggested routes from Google seem like they'd involve a lot of walking through not-pedestrian-friendly areas, too. I'd recommend catching a cab from your hotel to Bridgeport Station, and then riding the Canada Line all the way down to Waterfront.

The biggest thing to look out for with airbnb is "hosts" canceling on you at the last second. Richmond BC is a great option to stay (walkable, safe, GREAT restaurants, and the sky train runs every 6 minutes or so to the convention center) but the vast majority of affordable Airbnb rentals there are from a handful of real estate developers who at the time of check in will move you to a completely different property, or cancel outright with made up excuses, especially water leaks.

There are some affordable hotel options in that area though. River Rock Resort/Casino is not the cheapest, but the hotel directly connects to a skytrain station that takes you to the waterfront every 3 minutes or directly to/from the airport terminals every 6 with no transfers needed.

Edit: that hotel is also right next to the Richmond Night Market, well worth visiting on the Friday night: https://richmondnightmarket.com

If you're in Coquitlam make sure to book next to the metro. Hills are steep and you really don't want to be walking too far.

With the metro it's long ride but only one transfer (M -> E), and the E Line will bring you in front of LTX.

I would like to create a little cheat sheet (in addition to/expanding on https://www.ltxexpo.com/travel) for people visiting Vancouver for LTX. Think good food and coffee, Lodging options, Interesting Bars, transit tips or experience options for those that might add an extra day or two to their stay. For those who have attended LTX before, post your own personal favorite spots you plan to visit again. Do you want tips for specific dietary needs? niche hobby stores? Ask here, it's like a smaller, worse version of google... goo if you will.

I can start this off with some good base level stuff:
-Transit is good. Save yourself hassle and stay near a sky train station if possible to give yourself quick easy access to the convention center and pretty much anywhere else you want to go! Waterfront station is right beside the convention center and is on the Canada line and Expo line. Also the sky train station is right inside the airport!
-Pizza Garden makes great pizza that I like to eat. I would recommend The Ruchetta. What is a trip without ordering pizza?
-Vancouver is legit beautiful and surrounded by breathtaking nature. Stay a day and look at it. Walk off all those pizza calories! https://happiestoutdoors.ca/vancouver-hikes-on-transit/

Okay, so, I was in a stream just now. We'd been talking about pc hardware and saying lol at there being a 6900xt and soon probs a 6900X.
So here's the lol we came up with for a pc build:
6900X 6900XT 690W psu (I think I remember seeing some years ago) 64+2+2+1GB ram (and at 6.9Gts if feasible with DDR5?) 69% keyboard (70% with one key removed) CPU & GPU at 69C (gonna be hard lol) 69'' oc to 69Mhz (afaik some 70'' are technically 69'' of display) Game locked at 69fps Fans at 69% (Will be hard with the cpu temp) 69GB drive Are there anymore things that could be set to 69, maybe a case? There must be, right?

Hmm.. I wonder if Twitter will know the difference between a sanitary pad and a tampon.. or the algorithms must be fixed.
