  1. Sad, yea not sure why but I instantly assumed they cheated to lol
  2. Looks like we have the modem taken care of. I believe we have a sonic wall doing the routing? Right now my focus is on traffic monitoring, website\content blocking, 4 concurrent VPN sessions, IDS\IPS, and possibly QOS in the future depending on traffic monitoring results. I have been here for over 2 months and we have never had to forward a port, nor do I see the need to any time in the future. Also why would I want to call a number or write an email to do a simple port forward? I could do the port forwarding myself in less time right?
  3. Hey guys. We are trying to chose a firewall for an office. We have unifi cameras, aps, controller, and switches. I believe we should get a unifi security gateway setup for $300~ and we should be good to go. My manager wants to get a Barracuda F280 firewall with monthly service. This will be around $5,000 to setup and then something like $500 dollars to $2000 dollars a month in subscription fees. Can anyone advise? We have a 500 mbps isp and less then 50 people in the office. We don't use VPN at all everything is cloud based. Does it make sense to do the F280 over the Security Gateway? I do have a VM server and a dell sonic wall too if someone wants to advice something different. Thanks very much.
  4. Hey guys, I just started at a new company and we have 6-8 TB's of cloud based network shares all over the place. Dropbox, egnyte, fileshare etc. I am currently downloading all this data to one central server. I am wanting to take all this data and put it into one central sharepoint site using multiple document libraries organized by department. My issue right now is there does not seem to be a good way to upload this amount of data to sharepoint. I have tried using upload icon while logged in under sharepoint, but I am limited to around 15mbps. I can sync the drag and drop under file explorer, but I am limited to like 20GB at a time? I also tried the sharepoint migration tool but it just hangs at 0 of 2153 files migrated? Can anyone recommend the fastest and easiest way to move large amount of data into sharepoint? Robocopy? Powershell? Python?
  5. So I am planing a build for an off grid cabin. I will still have solar panels and 4g LTE data. Light gaming and tv will be the main purpose. I am really interested in the intel i3 8100T, but I can't find ANY reviews for it. Is this a good CPU for low power and esports\classic gaming, home theater build? Build would be something like: i3 8100T 8 gb ram M.2 128 gb ssd gtx 1050 ti 400 watt platinum power supply Thoughts?
  6. The reason for this post is because I have been thinking on the problem with Locomotion in VR for a long time. Back in the early 2000s there was a place called Disney Quest in Florida. One of the rides there is "Aladins magic carpet". In this game you wear a VR headset and race magic carpets. This game made me tremendously sick... I have seen the attempts to design a product to fix this like the "Omni tredmill" or the "infinity deck". I personally see major design flaws in these products and do not think they will gain mass appeal. Recently I had a break through with how to design a vr treadmill product that is relatively easy to make, cheap to build, and easy to setup. Upon my break through I downloaded a free trial of auto-cad to mock up a design to present to investors. This is where things broke down, I don't have experience in 3d modeling, animation, or auto-cad. I need to hire someone to help with this basic modeling and animation for proof of concept. I will provide drawings of the design and you model them in 3d and animation. I am reaching out to you because I believe I have a great idea to make an innovative product. I am willing to offer cash compensation or a percentage of product\company equity if given assistance with proof of concept design.
  7. Yo homie. Best way to do this is Virtualize a PC and run that Virtual PC in the second monitor. This has added benefits like spiting up resources and it will allow you to set one of your USB ports for the virtual PC and other USB ports for your desktop PC
  8. I swear if you have that display cable plugged into the top motherboard and not your actual graphics card imma lol so hard
  9. Hey check to make sure the monitor is plugged into the graphics card. Not the motherboard
