My old GPU worked fine, I'm letting a friend borrow it for now. The cable should be fine, it's a display port which i used with my old gpu. Is it possible for a cable to go bad?

I recently bought a Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1060 6gb Windforce to replace a 960 on the black friday sales. It's a good card and works great. However, recently whenever I start up my computer, it always blackscreens and my monitor will turn off because it wont detect the computer. Restarting does not work. The only things that works is turning off the power supply with the switch, flipping the switch and booting it up again. Even then it's really slow to show display. It's a pain to do this every time. The card never used to do this this when I first got it. Is there a way to fix this besides getting a replacement? I'd prefer not to send it back for a replacement due to not having a GPU for that time period.

I do that when I have time. It doesn't really look dusty inside though. I always put a dust cover on it when not in use.

My GPU is fine. I have an i7-4790k. I'll have to check the usage next time I restart. Now the temps have gone down.
-
So whenever I boot up my PC the temps are at 60C and they jump around nonstop. After a while they will settle back to the 28C idle it is usually at. I don't really know what is wrong and it is kind've concerning. My computer used to never do this. I was thinking that it could be a virus, but my antivirus says that nothing is wrong. Also, I've been using RealTemp to get these temperatures, which I dont know if it is accurate or not. Anyone have any advice?

Samsung S27D590C Pros: 27 inch 60Hz as you said Has displayport Curved Good colors Fast response time The only real con for me was the brightness. But putting it into game mode pretty much solves the issue.

So I was browsing on gaming peripherals to buy, and I noticed gamepads. I was wondering what are those for? I've looked on other sites and they say you can do anything you want with it since they are just macros, but what type of games do they work best for? I mainly play FPS games, like CSGO, COD, and Battlefield, so I was wondering is it worth it for that? All the keys seem closer together which is nice. If someone could help, thanks. Also, if it is worth buying one, what should I get? I have an all Logitech setup so I want to keep the brand consistency.

Sorry, but all I really play is multiplayer games.
-
I've had mine for like 6 and a half months and haven't. LOL. I just use a dust cover on my tower when I'm not using it. Looks brand new inside still.
-
I use a Mac and personally, you can always do a BootCamp for Windows if you need to. Windows can run the games better than OS X and then when you don't game, switch it back. I don't know about Linux though. The problem with a Hackintosh is that OS X is designed to be used on Apple's hardware so you'd probably get some issues.

I just want it for the multiplayer, so I was wondering if it's good. After watching some multiplayer it looks fun but I want to know some other people's opinions about it. On top of that, how long do you think the game will last? I don't want to drop $60 on it and then the multiplayer be completely dead in like a couple of months.

It's not the sensor I think, but just the other buttons. I'll contact them and then see if I can get a new one.

So my mouse is messed up. I was playing CSGO and now my mouse is pretty much unusable except for clicking, etc. I can't use the DPI shifts or my macros. Resetting and unplugging the mouse has done nothing. For a expensive mouse, I'd expect more. At this point Razer would've probably been better.

Xbox One Wireless Controller Adapter Issue
kaiden1337 replied to kaiden1337's topic in Troubleshooting
bump again It seems to be on all games. Always like the right stick is moving itself and makes me look down. I really don't want to have to buy a steam controller or some other gamepad.
