  1. So I kinda figured everything out, 4200mhz at 1.2 volts wasnt stable so i bumped it up to 1.25 but i think thats too much, could probably go lower, but at 1.25 max temp was 80c in R20, im chilling at 4000mhz at 1.175 volts which to my current experience is stable with ab 30-40 minutes on blender benchmark and Prime 95, max temp on blender benchmark and R20 was 70c flat, max temp with P95 was 85c. I'm using the stock 3700x cooler.
  2. So, I undervolted to 1.2 volts and OC to 4.2ghz and gained a lot of performance in Cinebench R20 atleast, i went into the LTT discord and asked a couple of questions about it and people are just telling me to not undervolt it and 1.2 volts cant be stable at 4.2ghz and wont be stable in the long run, blah blah blah keep it stock volts but oc manually, dont keep it at a static voltage it can cause damage to other components and none of this is making sense to me as undervolting should be saver than over volting. Can anyone else confirm or deny any of these claims?
  3. Are we thinking about the same video? Im pretty sure the one you are thinking of when he did it in the bios he deleted it because it was false, the one through the ryzen master was accurate, 1.1 volts or smth he got stock speeds with cooler temps
  4. So I've noticed the horrible voltage on the 3000 series as a whole and how my cpu idles at 1.45 volts and 65-75c, I want to undervolt it but not sure what to set it to. the 3700x turbos on all core load to 4250mhz, I know I have to go into the ryzen master program to undervolt it as the bios i broken for undervolting (i think) I don't know what voltage to set it to for 4200mhz though. I saw someone with a 3900x on youtube get his at 1 volt to 3.8-3.9ghz but dont know if its the same numbers for the 3700x as it is the 3900x So I got a stable Cinebench R20 render at 1.2 Volts 4200mhz and it lowered the temps at idle and gained 2c on render because stock at load is 1.16 volts 3800mhz. I was told in the LTT discord these things, can anyone prove them to be correct? the life span of your CPU is a couple decades, OCing reduces it by like 2-5 years - PhoenixFlower#0893 Yeah, that's not going to be stable @Khoomn - Elisis#9169 (Saying 4200mhz at 1.2 volts is unstable) Because even 4.2GHz isn't doable with 3700x on higher clocks - Elisis#9169 (Even though I just did R20 at 4200 1.2) i'm not sure 1.2 is okay though - PhoenixFlower#0893 It's fine as long as it doesn't run high voltages static - Elisis#9169 @Khoomn Be carefull on undervolting. PC have mechanisms which can make it stable like additional power to capacitors while changing states atc. And if you do it wrong you can cause death of other components or data corruption. Try to do overclocks via guides. - gimli.cz#7498 Just leave your voltages at auto, Your CPU can handle itself - Elisis#9169 (Only problem is, my cpu temps look like a heart rate monitor at idle, see pic below)
  5. Can you do any benchmarks from 3dmark or something like R6S and maybe I can compare my fps to yours, i don't have that setup but I do have a 3700x and an RTX 2070 super
  6. Hey, so my current OVH just ran out and im looking for another OVH reseller, I was using 100up but they have some problems, they don't provide USA ips which is what I need. If anyone can link to an OVH reseller that sells USA VPS and accepts paypal. I already tried ExtraVM and they asked for an ID, I need one that does not require an ID. Just comment the links if you have any that sell the above and is $3.50 or less
  7. I bought this program from someone i know is a good coder, i never had this problem on my PC or on NFO but it happens on this vps and ovh Also i currently already have RestartSec=10 but what does Restart=always mean/do?
  8. Hey so I tired out systemd and it didn't work. It launches the program and acts like normal, it just doesn't restart the program on failure. Do you have any other programs or code that can restart on failure or code that can restart it on a time setting, like restart every 30 minutes?
  9. Thanks for that, ill look into it sometime tomorrow as it is late, ill get back to you if anything is wrong.
  10. So to run the program i do "java -jar program.jar" and it starts up the program, so once it "shuts down" it basically cancels that command and opens a new line for me to type on as if i pressed ctrl+c to stop it Edit: I run the code in screen so i can close out of the terminal, its supposed to be running at all times
  11. So I bought a VPS from a VPS provider today and i need to run a java program on that server, the program connects to a website and if even a single packet is lost on the VPS, the entire program shuts down and i have to manually restart it. Is there any way I could make a script that runs that pings the website and when there is no reply back from the ping it automatically restarts the program? I tired out systemd and it didn't work. It launches the program and acts like normal, it just doesn't restart the program on failure. Are there any other programs or code that can restart on failure or code that can restart it on a time setting, like restart every 30 minutes?
  12. 1. I tried it on my old 1060 which I know for a fact my displayport worked on there. 2. No, I have no other monitor in my house that uses displayport. 3. I bought a brand new one from bestbuy 4. Only monitor with displayport on it. 5. Everything is fine with nvidia panel 6. I DDU my drivers and reinstalled them. 7. It was working fine on dp/hdmi without OC before it broke
  13. I tried forcing it to DP and it is blank for 10 seconds then reverts automatically back to HDMI
  14. So when I first got my GPU 2 months ago, I overclocked it right out of the box when I installed it. I got to +130mhz on core and +1000mhz on memory. Everything has been smooth sailing (except for a tiny bit of coil whining). A couple of days ago I turned on my pc and my main monitor wouldn't output displayport, the hdmi port worked fine but no displayport. I tried putting in my old 1060 which I knew had a working displayport and nothing popped up on the monitor. Today, I'm running my main monitor on hdmi. I turned on my pc when I woke up and all my RGB and fans turned on and everything was fine but my monitor said out of range, I restarted my pc and everything was fine. I go downstairs and come back upstairs and my monitor says no input detected, restart pc and then said no input detected, restarted again and im perfectly fine right now but could overclocking my memory to +1000mhz damage any of the displayports or hdmi ports on the card?
