  1. I've had jabra 75t earbuds for what must be at least 4 years now and the battery life is more than enough for spontaneous listening sessions. The noise cancellation is more than enough for an office environment (I dont even use the ANC) and the frequency response can be adjusted using jabra's mobile app to suit your needs. Definitely got my money's worth out of these and still use them (almost) daily. That being said, I have heard great things about the airpods pro if you are in the apple ecosystem, but haven't given them a chance and won't blindly recommend something like that without my own personal 2 cents.
  2. That's right. I've had it for many years now and no complaints, so long that I forgot the actual name of it!
  3. I used to love the 502, but ever since picking up a G PRO I won't go back. To be fair though, as long as the mouse supports the "PowerPlay (edited)" mousepad, you never have to worry about wires or charging again and that's my favorite feature. Edit: for work I use the MX master 3. Also great for ergonomics and I can plug it in after work once every few months to build the charge back up.
  4. I'm not seeing any glaring issues with that socket. It's hopefully just the memory if you've ensured you've tried both ram sticks in that DIMMA2 slot.
  5. You think the bent pin is on the RAM or the CPU/socket? I don't see anything on the RAM pic you sent, if it's on the CPU/socket, please post a picture of that where you think it's bent. edit - if you think it's this, that's normal.
  6. Yeah sadly to say if you've tried all sockets with all available memory sticks, it's likely the memory itself. (hopefully it's that and not the motherboard itself) Definitely try reseating the CPU since you're already in there before returning the memory.
  7. According to the manual that light means the DRAM is not detected or in a fail state. Try to use 1 stick of ram, and attempt to boot with it in socket 0 first, then 1, then 2, then 3. If that still fails, use the other stick of ram and repeat.
  8. Is there a beep code after pressing the power button?

    JBL flip 6

I love the flip series speakers for hiking/disc golfing with buddies who also have the flip speakers. You can link 2...3...4...+ speakers together, essentially letting you turn the volume down but each person can hear the music with 0 latency between the linked speakers. Now would I use the flip series speakers for a desktop? Not unless I already owned it and was tight on cash. As others said, get an actual set of speakers for the desk/pc, but only if it wont break the bank. It may be worth saving a few extra buckaroos from some pay checks to open up more options to yourself as well.
  10. I've tinkered with VBAN once and it did not seem to work. I'm sure I missed a configuration somewhere or my router was potentially blocking the traffic. Was it fairly easy to set up @Kilrah? I have the Voicemeeter license just haven't gotten around to reinstalling on my current setup. To OP: I do think a physical mixer is the easiest solution if it's ever possible, however for your use case (USB headphones)... you may need to get some "standard" analog headphones to utilize a physical mixer. (I'm not aware if they have any mixers that support USB off the top of my head)

Also the Dreamcast with vga is still amazing me…

Bonus points if you have a copy of Phantasy Star Online!
  12. Those speakers you linked would work fine! As @saintlouisbagels kind of referenced, the 200W rating just means they support up to 200W of power. If you look at one of the reviews of those speakers, a user mentioned they are "only" feeding them 135W to each speaker and are very happy with the quality and sound. It just leaves you with a bit of headroom to upgrade your amplification in the future without also needing to swap out the speakers. (In most cases, you're better off underpowering the speakers to avoid accidentally overpowering them one day if you or someone accidentally cranks the gain up too high.)

Anyone have reasons not to move to the UK?

It appears a lot of people prefer tea over coffee there as well...
  14. I'd agree with the ceiling speakers if you wanted to keep the audio more or less contained to the room itself. The PA speakers will give you some reach out into your yard if that was something you wanted. You could also stick with ceiling speakers for inside the room and add 2 smaller outdoor rated PA speakers to the exterior wall if needed. The benefit to this is being able to control the volume both outside and inside independently. (if you are playing yard games outside and someone says turn it up, it may already be loud enough inside) Depends on your budget!
  15. Yes that should work fine. Reference the user manual here. https://www.jbl.com/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-masterCatalog_Harman/default/dwcdd91046/pdfs/JBL_Owners_Manual_CntrlContSurfaceMt_Control_25AV.pdf
  16. Yeah... and even those will get plenty loud for that space. (They are also rated for indoor/outdoor use) There are plenty of other branded speakers out there, we just use some smaller PA speakers like that throughout a few of the buildings I help tech and they have been solid for 5+ years since the installation.
  17. Personally I wouldn't use a sub in that small of an area and outdoors unless your neighbors are understanding and/or also enjoy that low rumbling bass that can penetrate their walls. However... If I were your neighbor, I wouldn't mind You may just want to opt for 2 larger speakers, that would likely be plenty to fill the room and still push out to your yard area for listening purposes. Something like this? (JBL Speaker Amazon link)

About to watch the eclipse. While at work. Sitt…

Our building lights and parking lot lights all popped on during our "peak time". I couldn't get any cool photos of the eclipse itself, but the picture of all of the street lights on at ~2pm was pretty nice

Anyone ever have an oddly specific visual image…

The "this is fine" meme always comes to mind when anyone mentions anything relatively close to that phrase.
  22. Hopefully they had a somewhat secure way of verifying you are who you say you are when updating these passwords. This is similar but not exact to how big name players had their accounts compromised and Text 2FA codes relayed to bad guys in the past. (SIM Swap attack) I get this is a little different but I'm a bit curious how they handle these situations when the automated methods are unavailable.
  23. What do you have that's populating all your USB ports? Are you able to get a USB hub for any of the devices? Technically any mixer with a master out or sub groups can output into your pc via AUX, but it will likely not behave as you intend it to without getting another sound card for your pc as well.
