  1. You could buy something much better for the price of a MBP.
  2. Addressing the title of this thread: no. Not by a long shot. So long as there is a need for Android applications, there will likely be Java. Um... it is slower than other languages in certain cases, and much faster than other languages than others. I don't think Java is inherently slower than "other languages"... just that other languages can perform particular tasks faster and, conversely, Java can perform certain tasks quicker than other languages. Nope. I quite like Java... it has a nice syntax. Nope. It's still the second most popular language on Github, followed by Python.
  3. Recommending C++ to a complete beginner is not very wise, in my opinion... especially since that language can get relatively complicated... I recommend first testing the waters with Python, then moving a step up to Java, then moving a further step up to C++, etc.
  4. I wouldn't trust a bronze-rated 650w with that setup, but a platinum-rated one I absolutely would. EDIT: Never mind, I was reading this incorrectly... My brain completely disregarded the CF portion. 850W is a power supply with perfect wattage for that setup.
  5. Work with what has been provided with you and practice, practice, practice. I have been programming for quite some time and I still get confused by loops in some contexts... so don't worry about not getting it timmediately. The more you work with loops and such, the better you will become.
  6. That will be plenty. You could probably get away with running said rig that is powered by a platinum-rated PSU of 650W, tbh.
  7. The only funny thing about the comic strip at the bottom is how blatantly it misrepresents Linux. Linux Mint has fantastic out of box support as does Ubuntu, to name a couple. Secondly, the only "compiling" you're going to be doing is if you're compiling your own Kernel for a distribution like Gentoo, in which case... yeah, it can be complete hell; however, to show Linux as a whole being as difficult as it is to set up a particular distro is stupid. EDIT: I am using Arch Linux. It is lovely.
  8. I am running Arch Linux and that did not come up for me.
  9. So somehow one particular group's refusal to use a product somehow equates to all enterprises not willing to use Linux simply based on it not being "supported"? I am not sure if I follow your logic here. You're making a broad statement based on a particular circumstance...
  10. And you base this on what, exactly?.. There is not a single piece of software that is guaranteed to have no bugs/crashes. Not a one. Secondly, Red Hat is far from a distro that "JUST WORKS". If there was such a thing, absolutely... I would pay much more than that for software that is absolutely guaranteed to work in every single circumstance, however given that not a thing like that exists... I am afraid I will be keeping my $4.99+
  11. Well, I am quite confident that I failed my final networking exam. The good part about it is that I had an 89% in the course, so even if I failed COMPLETELY it would bring me to around a ~70%. Time to relax.

  12. Coolermaster Storm Mechanical with Cherry MX Blue Keys.
  13. It depends. If you like a mouse with a bit of weight then I higly recommend the Coolermaster Reaper.
  14. That is interesting. Maybe it has nothing to do with the frames that you're getting but perhaps the game's mechanics?
