  1. This is 4.5ghz @ 1.225 comparison to stock. So idk, seems stable at 1.225 for 4.6
  2. Being a first time overclock, I'm not sure how good it is, Although ive seen some struggle with 4.6 @ 1.27 - 1.3 volts. stock VID is 1.230/1.151(load). My Vid for 4.6 is 1.210 I've only ever OC'ed GPU's. My msi 980 runs, 1501mhz @ 7800mhz mem clock
  3. First CPU Overclock, and i've managed to dial in 4.6ghz @ 1.225 core voltage. Originally I dialed in 4.5ghz @ 1.225 as 1.20 crashed. But I've found 4.6 stable at 1.225v Max temp: 67 12 hour stress test, 99-100% Stable no issues, I Have noticed 2 Strange reading, min and max, Although i've not had any crashes / downgrade in performance https://gyazo.com/ad71e9882cf7c4da8ae0f84156b91f81
  4. Rubberband guns are a thing, who knew? Linus would be great if you guys could create your own rubberband guns / have your own little competition with them.
  5. Currently looking at PG278Q rog swift and Dell S2716DG.Both 1440p/g-sync/144hz. Any thoughts?
  6. Linus, what if you removed the IHS all together and mounted liquid cooling directly onto the CPU. Wouldn't that provide less resistance even more.
  7. Excalibur v2 keyboard Well, i'm still running on an old basic Acer keyboard from when i had an i3 2120. The new keyboard would look awesome with my new mastercase pro 5. And i guess it's time for a new keyboard. Would be pretty sweet to have an RGB keyboard to game with.
  8. It was fixed purely from turning off fast boot, i found. Now when the display powers off, so does the system in sync. Nothing on event viewer, seems rather up it was left powering for a good 1-2 minutes after the windows shutting down / display turned off. solution was a simple one. disable windows automatic fast boot. To me, it doesn't really make a difference, same start up times.
  9. Shutdown: Windows 10 started up within 5 seconds absolutely fine. When it came to shutting down, you could see the shutting down screen and then the display power down within 5 seconds, however the actual system will still be powered up for another 60-120 seconds before shutting down, even though the display/ OS where clearly ended. Solution: I put it down to OS drivers originally but finding they were fully up to date, i moved into power settings. Power options > choose what the power button do > shutdown settings > ''turn on fast boot (recommended)'' From what i could see, windows 10, auto enabled it's own fast boot option in a recent update, causing it to make a fast boot profile as it shut down. simply disabling this option fixed the issue. My system still starts up within 5-6 seconds, but purely because i'm using an SSD. -------------------------------------------- Another unrelated issue: Intel hd 4600 graphics would crash at random times within windows 10 whilst watching videos etc. This problem occurs straight after you upgrade from windows 7 or 8.1 to windows 10. What happens is, the OS upgrades but still keeps the old drivers, so your windows 7 and 8.1 display drivers will still be active, and the system update will keep them to the latest versions for windows 7 and 8.1. But will not detect your OS / change the drivers to windows 10 versions. Solution: Go to intel's website, and find the windows 10 driver for your chipset, Run the installer, and it will automatically remove the old drivers and replace them with the windows 10 versions. Hopefully these solve some problems people are experiencing.
  10. It would go with the nuke pc they built . maybe go one step further and build a mini nuke launcher as a stand for the pc
  11. It would look nice though, house it into a fallout mainframe shell with the lights moving like big pixels and a wonderful front vault tec style front panel. Would definantly be unique, don't think ive seen one built in reality.
  12. Wouldn't it be awesome if Linus built a fallout looking/style mainframe for his server room. Just like the fallout bomb.. an actual fallout mainframe. Maybe go one step further so when he accesses, he get's a fallout style overview log in skin.
  13. Well looking at comparisons, gtx 970 and 980. 970 seems to dip alot below 50 whilst the 980 holds around 60-70 in AC
  14. I'd call it cables, but then again linus already named his staff that .. Lets go Cables
