  1. Sorry for the delayed response. Unfortunately none of those worked at all. I've also noticed the hiss comes and goes at random, sometimes with 3 second gaps of silence or an entire day.
  2. I bought a Xonar Essence ST about 2 years ago and it's worked great until tonight. For some reason I now have a quiet hiss/crackling in my left-ear channel. And I can't figure it out. I've updated my drivers, tried routing my front panel audio through the sound card for the same results. Adjusting impedance, volume, sample rate, and channels yields the no change in the hiss. My headphones aren't the issue since the work flawlessly with my laptop and phone. I've done my best to reduce the chance of interference but none of it has changed a thing. Halp.
  3. I hope this delay will mean that they'll have plenty to sale on launch. I don't want to be one of the unfortunate souls that misses the first 2 hours of a buying frenzy and has to wait weeks for a restock.
  4. Starsiege for me. The game that really put the hook into me.
  5. You should challenge your crew to record the video entirely with one.
  6. I hope Farcry 4 has some better writing than 3 did. Farcry 3 was just kind of a boring experience as far as the plot and characters were concerned.
  7. I've used Vent and Teamspeak throughout my Warcraft career and I like Teamspeak the most. The voice activation really sells it for me.
  8. Hmm, soulds like the page file or hibernation file.
  9. Hawken is a great Shooter. It's better than most in my opinion because they created a solid way to stop the Pay-to-Win problems. You can buy your gear with real currency, but your mechs must be the proper level to use them. Team Fortress is shoulder to shoulder with Hawken as well. I don't need to say anything more.
  10. Display Fusion has a feature to change the background, but it's not a free program. Ultimate Windows Tweaker has a function to change it as well, it's free but is limited in the file size. There is this stand-alone that doesn't require an install. I just took for a spin and it works just fine.
  11. Winamp has never done wrong by me. It can handle every file type I can throw at it and the default bento layout is very stylish in my opinion.
  12. Collecting movies is a hobby of mine, so I always buy a physical copy. Sometimes I use it to reinstall windows or something... No reason not to have one.
  13. I'll set everything to maximum and if the FPS isn't high enough, I'll turn down the shadows/lighting first. I demand smooth models.
  14. Excellent! Thank you for the info! And thank you, Godlygamer23 as well!
  15. No, I didn't see anything strange with the system. I watched it for a good 15 minutes while it was running.
  16. Yes, when I bought the card the backplate was flawless. I did rub some between my fingers and it felt oily to the touch and I've never had any other type of liquid cooling in my system.
  17. So, I'm planning a new build and I want to make sure I invest in a good case that capitalized on dust management. My house is inhertently dusty when I have cats and dogs which lead to a lot of annoying maintanence with my current Haf case. I'd like a case that is at least a full tower with room to mount a Corsair H110 cooler. Any suggestions? I had my eye on a 900d, but I'd like to hear other opinions on a case that cuts down on dust. Thanks
  18. I bought my Crosshair V Formula mobo back when I bought an FX-8150 after launch and I noticed that the Boot device led was flashing on boot and making a single beep after I installed a fresh copy of Win 7 (it was fine until now). I run a SSD as my boot device with a HDD for storage. I checked in the BIOS and the boot order is correct and I can't find any reason for the led and beep. And my pc does boot to windows without an issue. So, can anyone help me out? I'm baffled. Thanks
  19. I was cleaning my computer out and I noticed my video card (Evga 680 with a limited backplate) had a 3 small drops of what looked like oil residue on the backplate. 2 of the spots were around two holes cut in the backplate and the last one was in the center with no cause for it to be there. I do use a liquid cooling system on cpu, it's a Corsair h80 I believe. I pulled it off and inspected every nook and cranny of the h80 but I couldn't find anything at all. There was absolutely no residue on the tubing, pump, or rad. I booted it up and watched to see if I might find what was happening but nothing happened. So, my question is: Has anyone ever experienced anything like this before? I'm not overly experienced with liquid cooling so I'm hoping you guys might know. Thanks
