  1. Yeah, but Pendragon said that they have full upgradability. I would assume this also means the ability to upgrade your Mobo.
  2. So there are laptops that allow you to swap out mobos?
  3. It's pretty much always been like that.
  4. If pretty sure the metal is safe to paint considering that people Plasti-Dip their whole cars. If you search on YouTube, Linus and Tek Syndicate have painted GPUs before.
  5. http://www.redsharknews.com/technology/item/1650-is-4k-twice-or-four-times-as-good-as-hd READ THE WHOLE THING ARTICLE NOT JUST "I multiply by 4"
  6. My god...1920x1080 and 3840x2160 and the lengths and widths of the resolutions. The resolution is the number of individual pixels. You don't multiply 1920 and 1080 by 2 to get 3840x2160, you multiply the product of 1920 and 1080 by four to get the product of 3840 and 2160. The products are the real resolution, they are the amount of pixels in the resolutions.
  7. Just saying the ZOTAC is 2.5 slots, so it may look a little weird in your setup. Plus, the Gigabyte G1 and Asus Strix Gaming are pretty much identical in terms of FPS, temps, etc. The only reason why you would get the Asus is because of the RGB, but it costs ~$40 more (for me at least).
  8. Look at the websites below your search. One explains that 4K is twice the width and length, but 4 times the amount of pixels (the resolution).
  9. The width and length are doubled, but the actual amount of pixels isn't. 1920x1080=2073600 and 2560x1440=3686400. 3686400/2073600=1.778 <---Therefore 1440p has ~1.7 times the amount of pixels (or resolution) of 1080p.
  10. I thought 1440 was 2.5K and 1080 was 1K. So 1440 is 2.5 times the resolution of 1080.
  11. How long will you be using it for? It gets over 60 FPS in 1440P already. That is a little more than double the resolution of 1080. In the long run, I would still expect a solid (minimum of) 60 FPS in 1080 titles.
  12. I don't know much about the life expectancy of GPUs, but I know that they can last pretty long. LTT's GTX 480 is still alive today (after 6 years) and they tested it a lot. It was transported and stress tested often. They had a video about it recently although I don't know where it went. Plus (as mentioned by @Technicolors) a 1070 would be ideal for 1440p, so 1080 wouldn't strain it much and 720 might see ~200 FPS.
  13. I know, but it's nice to see Techquickie talk about it so people don't buy the wrong cable/get confused over which cable to buy.
  14. Different Types of Ethernet Cables As Fast As Possible (or a specific type like Cat 7)
