  1. Ok where to start. 1. Are you looking for closed or open back? 2. What type of music do you listen to? 3. What the fuck do you mean not enough ohms for you, that is not how you measure the performance of any headphones.
  2. Will you be using them outside of your home, eg. On public transport. If you are then stick with closed backed. But if you are not open is definitely the way to go.
  3. Well if you are looking for flat the m50x's are not the way to go. Are you looking for closed or open backed? What kind of music do you listen to?

  5. Hello I'm looking to replace the stock cable on my he-500's as if you have ever used them you will know it is utter shite. I don't know anything about cables , so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
  6. Hello I'm looking for a pair of wireless portable headphones that I can use for travelling, eg on planes. Feel free to ask any questions, and thank you for your time. Ps please don't say ath m50xs, I'm bored I've seeing those recommended on this forum.
  7. @Dackzy Hi , I'm currently running a schiit lyr 2 to drive my he 500, and I just wanted to ask your thoughts and that pairing. Thanks
  8. So you are trying to tell me that a 5mm driver can produce a clearer and .ore accurate sound than my 50mm in my sennheiser he558? And what headphones need power for noise isolation, you mean noise cancelling? And all headphones will need power for noise cancellation.
  9. A schiit lyr 2 pairs very well with almost all orthos. A cheaper alternative as a schiit magni 2. @SSL
  10. You do know that impedance isn't the big all and end all with headphones , as the he400i are orthordynamic drivers they do improve with amplification as they are relatively inefficient. So yes an amp would help.
  11. First Please do not get a pair of m50x's. Second , do you want open closed headphones? What do you need the headphones for , what's the mic for. As if the mic is only for skype then you will only need a blue snowball at max. And from there for open headphones I would get a pair of sennheiser 558's .
  12. I will defiantly have a look at the guide but yes 50% of me also wants a dac just because why the fuck not <3 ssl
  13. the problem I have have is the sheer amount of static I have when I plug directly into my pc (can't go above 30% on pc without my ears b bleeding from the noise)And what happened to the nice ssl we had
  14. that would be the dream but a bifrost with usb is 380 new and I havnt found 1 second hand yet...(2 months and nothing)
