Right the psu, uhhhh I don't rememeber exactly but I made sure to get a decent one, I think it was the EVGA Supernova 650w with 80+ gold I'll try the igpu and see if it still makes the sound

i3 4160 r9 390 8gb ram 1tb hdd 250gb ssd I think I've heard from someone else that it might be coilwhine too.. Not sure how bad it is tho

My computer used to be under my desk but I just put it back on my desk to circulate a bit more air. I realized that when I scroll certain pages or pdf files, there's like a little short whirring sound from somewhere in my computer. I don't think it's a big deal but it also makes a similar sound when I play games like League of Legends. It's really annoying having to hear it and I think I know why I put it under my desk in the first place. It's also pretty hard to tell where the sound is coming but I think it's from the hard drive. Anyone know what I should try doing?

I'd love to have the New Razer Blade Stealth. I've already got a gaming pc and now a gaming laptop for lans and such would be a great addition!

I have a really shitty and old projector from about 6 years ago. Makes a loud whirring sound every time I turn it on. Haven't gotten around to buying a new one but winning one would definitely be great. Good luck to all contestants <3

So it could be a faulty hard drive? If it was bad or failing sectors, would reset/formatting the drive help?

It usually occurs when I'm doing stuff in file explorer, maybe granting permission to install something, maybe going to the favourites tab.

I'm not really sure exactly, but my dad said it's fairly new. Edit from your edit: what do you mean the controller? And my specs are i3 4170 asus h81I 4x2 8gb hyper x evga supernova 550 no gpu right now cuz it broke and I returned it lol

Well it's still functional except from causing the "disk read error"
