    I need a thin and light ultrabook under 1000 dollars with a quad core CPU ( amd or intel ) atleast 12 gigs of RAM , 256 gb ssd and an ips screen ( 1080p or above ) . Preferably with touch support , backlit keyboard easily portable Will be using it for the next 4~ years . So , please recommend something reliable under these requirements .

    pretty sure that it will never be open source ,, was surprised when apple made swift open source apple prefers to be "exclusive" with its software but its pretty good to use tho..
