wsee911 reacted to AMICLG in $470 AMD Build is it possible ?
Well it's ram not rams and I can't see why your upgrading to AMD as there is not any performance to gain going to a 8350 unless your video editing in which you should get a 3770k since you have a Z77 motherboard so I'd recommend to just sell the 670 and get a 780 or something and put a H100i in your rig and maybe get a new case like a Define R4.

If you don't have the ram already I'd get the cheapest you can find as it's just ram and all the bad manufactures are gone so unless you get some OEM crap you'll be fine.
That's a mighty big PSU a good 80+ gold 600-650 watt will be just fine.

wsee911 reacted to ShadyHost in Asus Modem Routers
I have the Asus RT-N65R
The AiCloud feature is meh but I guess I just don't have a use for it. The range is pretty great and the bandwidth is amazing. I would recommend this router to anyone and I am not sure how it compares the to the U version.
Wireless printing sucks. Just saying.

wsee911 reacted to R4STABAN in SLI 4GB vram with 2GB vram 670 ?
Depends on the game. 2gb vram is fine for lots of games @ 3 x1080p. Games where it isn't you have to turn settings down anyway because the 670s won't have enough grunt.

The gold is an interesting departure. Better than the blue/light blue/white mashup they had for the Z77 line though I think. I wonder how their 700/8000 series graphics cards will look, since there's nothing currently that really fits in with those boards. At least a lot of 80+ gold PSUs do match though :D

When you have 2 cards in SLI it mirrors the textures to VRAM, therefore you are only as fast as your slowest card x2. So you can't mirror 4gbs to 2gb, but you can mirror 2gb to 4gb, so you will effectively still be limited to 2GB.

No, 2GB of VRAM isn't sufficient for 3 screens at max settings, it might be okay on the lowest settings (game dependent).

you could download 'Crystal Disk Info' and see if the drive is still being fully detected by your motherboard
