  1. Can you post pictures or a video of the computer? What do you mean by "Wont turn on", nothing at all? power but no display?
  2. You will do fine with 16gb of RAM, id be more concerned about cpu usage Upgrade to 32 if you have the expendable money, want the bragging rights, and potential future proofing / or to maybe even use in other systems
  3. Be careful if you do, if you touch the wrong thing you can potentially kill yourself even if the unit has no power to it, the capacitors will still hold some sort of charge only thing would be taking it apart like unscrewing the case/cover to look at/replace the fan or see if something falls out without touching any of the main power supply components if its after you moved, theres a chance something could have fallen in there or theres dust in the fan bearing etc
  4. if youre able to get over 60fps in games it would have the potential to even be unplayable because of frametimes a 960 would easy push most games at 60 at 1080p with decent settings, but for a friend for mild gaming it would be a good treat
  5. Depends on why you bought the Razer mouse, would you have bought it if the m55 was on sale? If you bought it because of the price and if price is that important to you then it would be the reasonable thing to return it However if you bought the Razer because you liked it and not just because of the price then id keep it. I would prefer to keep the Razer personally but it is ultimately your decision
  6. Well base it off either one of two things Your monitors maximum refresh rate (usually 60) - You can also do this with vsync which may make it better but can introduce input lag if youre playing a competitive game Whatever you can with your own testing to have smoother gameplay (try 30 (ew) then 40, then 50, then 60 etc)
  7. Definitely frametimes, personal experience with GTA V and my old Pentium, even though it was over 60fps there was constant stuttering as it just couldnt handle displaying it smoothly Best you can do is try to limit your fps to something your cpu can handle until you maybe upgrade
  8. Look up how to see shutdown/reboot causes in event viewer I've had this issue with my powersupply but it wasnt able to supply enough power to the cpu Reinstall Windows and reseat all your power cables if your case has a reset button unplug that maybe even, speaking from experience with weird issues lol
  9. I had this issue with my first build with my RAM Unplug all sticks but one and if it still doesnt work try another but keep it to one and see if anything happens Maybe even reseat gpu or take it out and try to run off of igpu and motherboard to get something
  10. Your clock speeds are lower, cpu drawing less power and utilisation is lower I dont think it would be throttling even as the temps arent reaching high enough -2.5ghz is the base frequency for your cpu, so it looks like its not turboing in the second screenshot so that looks like its either one of two things, temperature or power, maybe even of the battery itself As for utilisation, unsure, are you running out of RAM? Try and set the affinity to high for the program and see if that does anything
  11. Nope How can you say I just said something without me saying it? I never said it was fine. In fact I encouraged the use of VPN as most will encrypt. What I am saying is that you will be tracked no matter what you do technology wise, even more so if you have any uncertainty with what youre using like an "unknown" brand, and that the most likely entity to be tracking you is your ISP, and then anything youre visiting anyway Waiting for that PIA sponsor
  12. You could get away with some games at 2k 120+hz, which is going to be a better gaming experience than 4k @ 60 If you were wanting to do anything productivity wise then 4k would be the way to go
  13. Its perfectly fine, it would be drawing a measly amount of power If you get worried or get annoyed you can always just switch it off at the power supply too (after safely shutting down of course)
  14. I was making the point that theyre probably spying on your data anyway
  15. Alot of cards have lights at the power connector, my old 750ti had one Its really just an indication that theres still power to the system, may be dependent on the motherboard but you can still charge a phone through usb for example with the system off and the power supply on in
  16. Id more be worried of the reliability and speed of an "unknown" brand than it somehow forwarding information to someone else, it cant go to someone without going through your ISP though If youre really worried use a vpn
  17. Not all scratches have grooves, if theyre starting to suddenly appear though with the protector on id say its the protector? It doesnt look like the scratches to past the protector sides and onto the black edge Maybe they were there already and only show in certain light, or it could even be under the display, cant tell unless you take off the protector fully and look at the actual glass itself
  18. I mean depends on your case layout, but that sounds like alot of fans anyway, adding or changing the config wont really do much
  19. Something with a Ryzen 5 3500U will smash Minecraft, Or you can try and get the new 4000 series ryzen chips in a laptop which would be even better, but a 3500U would easily get triple digits in fps, especially with tweaking and maybe optifine for minecraft
  20. on Windows? Notifications and Actions Settings -> Chrome bout it
  21. Try with just one gpu maybe? I have this issue sometimes and its mostly ram related
  22. Can you attach an image from a phone maybe? What laptop? what os? What have you tried?
  23. Could be your cpu, I have seen other posts about issues with the 1600AF and speeds over 2667, 2667 is the max spec amd really certifies but of course it can be done with higher
